Brooke Begs Isaiah Not to Leave Philly, But Larry’s Secret Changes Everything!
Brooke had never run that fast in her life.
The moment she heard that Isaiah was leaving for Philadelphia, her heart dropped. She could not believe he was actually going through with it. She grabbed her jacket, rushed outside, and drove straight to his house.
She had no plan. She only knew one thing: she had to stop him before it was too late.
The Door Opens
Brooke reached Isaiah’s house and knocked repeatedly.
“Isaiah! Please open the door!” Brooke shouted.
For several seconds, there was silence.
Then the door suddenly opened.
Isaiah stood there with an angry expression on his face. He looked like he had already had enough of the situation.
“Brooke, why are you here?” Isaiah asked.
“Because I heard you’re leaving for Philly,” Brooke replied. “And you weren’t even going to tell me.”
Isaiah looked away.
“There’s nothing left for me here.”
Brooke’s eyes immediately filled with tears.
“That’s not true. You have people here who care about you. I care about you.”
Isaiah Loses His Temper
Isaiah suddenly raised his voice.
“You care about me now? Where was everybody when Larry turned me into the villain?”
Brooke froze.
“What are you talking about? What did Larry do?”
Isaiah shook his head.
“Exactly. Nobody even asked me what happened. Everybody heard Larry’s side and decided I was the bad guy.”
Brooke stepped closer.
“Then tell me your side. I’m listening.”
For the first time, Isaiah became quiet.
Larry Appears
Before Isaiah could answer, Brooke heard footsteps behind him.
She looked past Isaiah and saw Larry walking through the hallway with a black duffel bag over his shoulder.
Brooke’s expression changed instantly.
“Larry? Why are you leaving?”
Larry stopped.
He looked at Isaiah, then at Brooke.
“I think it’s better if I go.”
Brooke stared at him.
“Better for who?”
Larry didn’t answer.
Isaiah stepped forward angrily.
“Tell her the truth, Larry.”
The room suddenly became completely silent.
The Secret
Larry tightened his grip on the bag.
“You really want me to tell her?” Larry asked.
“Yes,” Isaiah replied. “I’m tired of being blamed for something I didn’t do.”
Brooke looked between them, confused and frightened.
“What did you two do?” she asked.
Larry finally looked directly at Brooke.
“Isaiah didn’t decide to leave because of Philly.”
Brooke’s heart sank.
“Then why is he leaving?”
Larry took a deep breath.
“Because I gave him a reason to believe that everyone had turned against him.”
Brooke Realizes the Truth
Brooke slowly turned toward Isaiah.
“Is that why you were leaving?”
Isaiah nodded.
“I thought leaving was the only way I could get away from all of this.”
Brooke wiped the tears from her face.
“You should have told me. I would have come sooner.”
Isaiah looked at her, and his anger began to fade.
“Would you really have stayed?”
“I’m here now, aren’t I?” Brooke answered.
The Final Twist
Larry slowly placed the duffel bag on the floor.
“There’s still one thing you don’t know.”
Brooke looked at him.
“What?”
Larry reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
Isaiah’s face immediately changed.
“Larry, don’t.”
Brooke looked from Isaiah to Larry.
“What is on that phone?”
Larry stared at Isaiah for several seconds.
“The message that proves who really started all of this.”
Brooke’s eyes widened.
Isaiah stepped forward.
“Brooke, whatever he shows you, remember one thing. I never wanted to hurt you.”
Larry unlocked his phone.
Brooke leaned closer.
Then Larry turned the screen toward her.
Brooke’s face went completely pale.
She had expected to discover why Isaiah was leaving.
She never expected to discover who had been lying to her from the beginning.
And the message on Larry’s phone was about to change everything.
