BETHANY BEGS LARRY TO LEAVE SHARRA — BUT A TERRIFYING EMERGENCY CHANGES EVERYTHING!

SCENE 1 — LARRY AND BETHANY’S BEDROOM — EARLY MORNING

The bedroom is quiet. Larry and Bethany are asleep beside each other, but the distance between them feels impossible to ignore.

As morning light filters through the curtains, Bethany slowly opens her eyes. She turns toward Larry, hoping that today might finally bring a change in their relationship.

She gently shakes his shoulder.

BETHANY
Larry, baby. Wake up. I need to talk to you.

Larry groans and turns away.

LARRY
Bethany, please. It’s too early for all this.

BETHANY
Come on, Larry. Just wake up for a minute. Please?

Larry finally sits up and reaches for his phone. He unlocks the screen and immediately opens a picture of Sharra. A faint smile appears on his face.

Bethany notices and becomes jealous.

BETHANY
Are you serious right now, Larry? I just woke you up, and the first thing you do is look at Sharra?

LARRY
What’s wrong with looking at a picture?

BETHANY
I’m lying right here beside you, and you’re acting like I’m not even in this room!

LARRY
Bethany, don’t start with me this morning.

SCENE 2 — BETHANY BEGS LARRY TO CHOOSE HER

Bethany moves closer to Larry, desperate to get his attention. Her voice becomes softer as she struggles to hold back her tears.

BETHANY
Larry, please. I’m begging you. Just leave Sharra alone. Give me another chance to make you happy.

She reaches for his hand.

BETHANY
I’ll give you everything you want, Larry. Just tell me what I have to do to make you choose me again.

Larry lets out a bitter laugh.

LARRY
Bethany, you really think this is about what you can give me?

BETHANY
Then tell me what it is. Tell me what you want from me!

LARRY
I can’t leave Sharra. You can promise me everything in the world, but you still can’t give me what she gives me.

Bethany freezes, deeply hurt by his words.

BETHANY
What does Sharra have that I don’t?

LARRY
I don’t feel the same way about you anymore. Whatever we used to have, it’s not there now.

BETHANY
After everything we’ve been through, you’re just going to throw me away for another woman?

LARRY
I’m not going to keep pretending everything is fine when it isn’t.

BETHANY
What am I missing, Larry? What makes Sharra so special to you?

LARRY
Right now, Bethany, I don’t see anything in you that’s going to change how I feel.

Bethany gets to her feet, tears streaming down her face.

BETHANY
I can’t believe you’re saying this to me.

LARRY
I’m sorry, Bethany, but I’m not going to lie to you.

Bethany walks out of the bedroom, devastated.

SCENE 3 — BETHANY’S HEARTBREAKING MOMENT

Bethany enters her bedroom and quietly closes the door. The moment she is alone, she breaks down in tears.

She sits on the edge of her bed, replaying Larry’s cruel words in her mind.

“I don’t see anything in you that’s going to change how I feel.”

BETHANY
Why, Larry? Why isn’t anything I do ever enough for you?

She remembers all the times she tried to save their marriage.

BETHANY

SCENE 4 — BROOKE DISCOVERS BETHANY UNCONSCIOUS

Brooke walks down the hallway and knocks on Bethany’s bedroom door.

BROOKE
Bethany? Are you awake?

Receiving no answer, Brooke opens the door and steps inside.

BROOKE
Bethany?

She notices Bethany lying motionless on the bed. Brooke approaches her and calls her name, but Bethany doesn’t respond.

BROOKE
Oh my God! Bethany! Wake up!

Realizing something is terribly wrong, Brooke rushes out of the room.

BROOKE
Larry! LARRY! You need to come here right now!

SCENE 5 — BROOKE TELLS LARRY THE TERRIFYING NEWS

Larry is sitting on his bed looking at his phone when Brooke rushes inside, pale and frightened.

LARRY
Brooke? What’s going on?

BROOKE
It’s Bethany! Something’s wrong with her!

Larry immediately stands.

LARRY
What do you mean? What happened?

BROOKE
I found her in her room. She won’t wake up! I think she’s taken poison!

Larry’s face turns pale.

LARRY
WHAT?!

He drops his phone and rushes toward Bethany’s bedroom. Brooke follows him.

SCENE 6 — LARRY CALLS FOR EMERGENCY HELP

Larry rushes into Bethany’s room and finds her unconscious. He hurries to her bedside.

LARRY
Bethany? Baby, can you hear me?

She doesn’t respond. Fear replaces the anger he felt earlier.

LARRY
No, no, no. Bethany, please! Open your eyes!

Larry immediately calls emergency services and explains the situation.

LARRY
Please, I need an ambulance immediately! My wife is unconscious, and I believe she has taken poison. Please hurry!

He follows the operator’s instructions while waiting for help.

LARRY
How long has she been like this?

BROOKE
I don’t know, Dad! I just found her! I tried calling her, but she wouldn’t wake up!

Larry looks at Bethany with tears in his eyes.

The medical team rushes Bethany into the emergency department. Larry and Brooke are asked to wait outside.

Dad, is she going to be okay?

LARRY

LARRY
Yes. We argued.

BROOKE
What did you say to her?

LARRY

BROOKE
She’s still your wife, Dad!

SCENE 8 — THE DOCTOR DELIVERS DEVASTATING NEWS

After what feels like an eternity, the doctor finally emerges from the emergency department.

Larry immediately gets to his feet.

LARRY
Doctor! How is my wife? Is she going to be okay?

The doctor looks serious.

DOCTOR
We’ve been treating her, but her condition is extremely critical. We need to continue monitoring her closely.

Larry stares at him in disbelief.

LARRY
What are you saying? Are you telling me she might not survive?

DOCTOR
