LARRY AND BETHANY CONFRONT SHARRA — LARRY LOSES CONTROL WHEN HE SEES DRE WITH HER!
SCENE 1 — Larry and Bethany Make a Plan
The living room is quiet. Larry and Bethany are sitting together in the hall, trying to relax. Bethany is busy with her phone, while Larry sits beside her, lost in his thoughts.
He cannot stop thinking about Sharra. He wants to visit her and find out what is happening at her house.
LARRY
Bethany, what are you doing right now?
BETHANY
Nothing special. I’m just sitting here. Why?
Larry pauses before leaning forward.
LARRY
Come on. Let’s go to Sharra’s house.
BETHANY
What? Why do you want to go to Sharra’s house?
LARRY
Why does there have to be a reason? We can just go over there and see her.
Bethany studies his face, sensing that something is on his mind.
BETHANY
Okay, fine. Let me get ready first.
LARRY
All right. I’ll get ready too. Meet me downstairs when you’re done.
They head to their bedroom to get ready. Larry is determined to visit Sharra that afternoon.
SCENE 2 — Larry Discovers a Flat Tire
A little while later, Larry and Bethany are ready to leave. Bethany walks outside toward the driveway, but Larry suddenly stops when he notices that his car has a flat tire.
LARRY
Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!
He bends down to inspect the tire. Bethany turns around after noticing that he has stopped.
BETHANY
Larry, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you getting in the car?
LARRY
The tire is flat. I can’t drive like this.
BETHANY
Seriously? What are we going to do now?
Larry rubs his forehead, searching for another solution. Suddenly, he remembers that Brooke has access to another set of car keys.
LARRY
Wait here. I’ll be right back.
BETHANY
Where are you going?
LARRY
I need to get something from Brooke.
Larry heads back inside, hoping to get the keys and continue with his plans.
SCENE 3 — Brooke Refuses to Give Larry the Keys
Brooke is getting ready to go out with her friends when Larry suddenly enters her bedroom without knocking.
BROOKE
Dad? What are you doing? You can’t just walk into my room like that!
LARRY
I need the car keys. Give them to me.
BROOKE
What? No! I’m going out with my friends, and I need the car.
LARRY
Brooke, I’m not asking you for a debate. I need those keys right now.
BROOKE
And I’m telling you that I’m not giving them to you! I’ve already made plans, and I’m not cancelling them just because you suddenly need something.
Larry becomes increasingly frustrated.
LARRY
Listen to me. Bethany and I need to go somewhere. We’ll be back soon, and you can go out afterward.
BROOKE
No! You can figure something else out. I’m not giving up my plans for you.
LARRY
Brooke, don’t push me right now.
BROOKE
I’m not pushing you! I’m simply telling you that I have my own life. You can’t expect me to drop everything whenever you tell me to.
The argument escalates. Larry grabs Brooke’s arm roughly and tries to take the keys.
BROOKE
Dad! Let go of me! What is wrong with you?
LARRY
I told you to give me the keys!
Larry eventually snatches the keys from Brooke’s hand.
BROOKE
You cannot be serious right now! You just came in here and took my keys because I wouldn’t do what you wanted!
LARRY
We’ll talk about this later.
BROOKE
No, we will talk about it now! You don’t get to treat me like this and then walk away!
Larry leaves with the keys. Brooke remains in her room, furious and hurt by her father’s behavior.
SCENE 4 — Larry and Bethany Finally Leave
Larry returns outside, holding the keys. Bethany is waiting near the driveway.
BETHANY
Did Brooke give you the keys?
LARRY
She didn’t want to, but I got them.
BETHANY
Larry, what happened in there?
LARRY
Nothing we need to talk about right now. Come on. Let’s go.
Bethany hesitates before getting into the car. Larry starts the engine, and they drive toward Sharra’s house.
Bethany looks out the window, wondering why Larry is so determined to visit Sharra. Larry keeps his eyes on the road, his mind racing.
SCENE 5 — Larry Sees Sharra and Dre Together
Larry and Bethany arrive at Sharra’s house. They enter and make their way toward her bedroom.
As they approach the room, they hear voices coming from inside. Larry slows down and moves closer to the doorway.
Inside, Sharra and Dre are together on the bed, sharing a romantic moment. They have not noticed Larry and Bethany standing at the entrance.
Larry freezes. His expression changes from disbelief to anger.
LARRY
What the hell is going on here?
Sharra and Dre immediately pull apart. Sharra turns toward the doorway, shocked to see Larry.
SHARRA
Larry? What are you doing here?
LARRY
What am I doing here? That’s what you want to ask me?
Dre gets off the bed and faces Larry.
DRE
Man, why are you coming in here acting like that? Nobody invited you to start trouble.
LARRY
You think you’re going to sit here with Sharra like this, and I’m just supposed to walk away like I haven’t seen anything?
DRE
Sharra can spend time with whoever she wants. You don’t get to come into her house and tell her what she can do.
Dre’s words push Larry over the edge. Larry storms toward him and grabs him, starting a fight.
SHARRA
Larry! Stop it! What are you doing?
Dre tries to defend himself while Bethany rushes forward, horrified by the confrontation.
BETHANY
Larry, stop! Get off him! This is not going to solve anything!
But Larry refuses to listen. His jealousy has taken control, and he is no longer thinking about the consequences of his actions.
SCENE 6 — Dre Stands Up to Larry
Sharra jumps up from the bed and rushes toward Larry, furious that he has invaded her privacy and started a fight.
SHARRA
Get your hands off him! You have absolutely no right to come into my house and do this!
Larry finally loosens his grip for a moment, but his anger remains obvious.
LARRY
You think I’m just going to stand here and watch this happen?
DRE
You need to get out of here, Larry! You’re the one who came into this room looking for trouble!
Bethany grabs Larry’s arm, trying to pull him away.
BETHANY
Larry, please! Stop before this gets even worse!
Sharra rushes to Dre’s side to check on him. Seeing her concern for Dre only makes Larry angrier.
He cannot stand the thought of Sharra choosing to be close to someone else. His jealousy has turned a simple visit into a serious confrontation.
SCENE 7 — Bethany Tries to Stop the Fight
The bedroom has descended into chaos. Bethany continues trying to separate Larry and Dre, while Sharra stands nearby, furious.
BETHANY
Larry, that’s enough! We’re leaving. Right now!
LARRY
Bethany, stay out of this!
BETHANY
No! I’m not going to stand here and watch you destroy everything because you’re angry!
Sharra turns toward Bethany, her frustration boiling over.
SHARRA
And you need to stop acting like you can control what happens in my house!
BETHANY
I’m trying to stop them from hurting each other! Can’t you see how out of control this has become?
SHARRA
I don’t care! Larry came into my bedroom and attacked Dre! You should be telling him to leave instead of making excuses for him!
BETHANY
I’m not making excuses for anyone. I’m trying to get everyone to calm down!
Sharra steps closer, growing more furious.
SHARRA
Then take your husband and get out of my house!
Bethany tries to respond, but Sharra suddenly strikes her in anger. Bethany stumbles backward, shocked.
BETHANY
Sharra! Did you seriously just hit me?
SHARRA
You heard me! Get him out of here!
SCENE 8 — Sharra Refuses to Back Down
Larry finally turns away from Dre when he notices Bethany and Sharra confronting each other.
For a moment, he looks stunned. He came to Sharra’s house expecting to see her, but now the entire situation has spiralled into a confrontation involving everyone.
Bethany looks at Larry, waiting for him to do something.
BETHANY
Larry, we’re leaving. I’m done with this!
Larry looks at Sharra, then at Dre. His expression remains filled with jealousy and anger.
LARRY
This isn’t over.
SHARRA
It is over when you walk out of my house!
Dre moves closer to Sharra, standing beside her. Larry notices the gesture, but Bethany grabs his arm before he can start another fight.
BETHANY
Come on, Larry. We’re going home!
Larry pauses, staring at Sharra and Dre. He clearly wants to say more, but Bethany refuses to let the argument continue.
SCENE 9 — Larry and Bethany Leave Sharra’s House
After a tense pause, Larry allows Bethany to lead him toward the door.
He keeps looking back at Sharra and Dre, unable to hide his anger. Sharra remains beside Dre, making it clear that she has no intention of letting Larry dictate her life.
Bethany walks out beside Larry, deeply upset by everything that has happened.
She cannot believe that a visit to Sharra’s house has turned into such an ugly confrontation. Larry’s jealousy has caused a fight with Dre and left Bethany caught in the middle.
Neither Larry nor Bethany says much as they leave the house. The silence between them is heavy, and Larry’s expression suggests that he is still thinking about what he witnessed.
SCENE 10 — The Consequences Are Just Beginning
Outside, Larry and Bethany head back toward their car. Bethany is angry and disappointed, while Larry remains consumed by jealousy.
He cannot stop thinking about Sharra and Dre together. What he witnessed has left him frustrated, and he has no idea how to handle his emotions.
Bethany, meanwhile, wonders why Larry was so determined to visit Sharra in the first place. She knows that his reaction was far beyond what the situation called for.
Back inside the house, Sharra remains beside Dre, determined not to let Larry’s behavior control her choices.
The confrontation has changed the relationships between all four of them. Trust has been damaged, tempers have flared, and difficult conversations are waiting to happen.
FINAL NARRATION
Larry’s visit to Sharra’s house has changed everything. His jealousy has turned a simple visit into a major confrontation, leaving Bethany upset, Dre angry, and Sharra unwilling to tolerate his behavior any longer.
The big question remains: Will Larry finally face the consequences of his actions, or will his jealousy lead to another explosive confrontation?
