IMAN
“Delicia, you’ve been quiet all night. What’s going on?”

DELICIA
“I’ve been thinking about us.”

“About us?”

“Enough. This was my decision too.”

“Because we knew people would react like this.”

“We were trying to protect our relationship.”

Shayla walks toward her car, visibly shaken. She pulls out her phone and makes a call.
SHAYLA
“I just found out something you’re not going to believe.”
She listens carefully.
SHAYLA
“Delicia and Iman secretly got married.”
There is a long pause. Shayla’s expression becomes more determined.
SHAYLA
“And I’m not going to let them pretend nothing happened.”
She ends the call, gets into her car, and drives away.
SCENE 6 — DELICIA’S HOUSE — NIGHT
Inside the house, Iman sits quietly on the couch. Delicia walks over and sits beside him.
DELICIA
“Are you okay?”
IMAN
“Honestly, I don’t know.”

“Do you regret marrying me?”
