1. A Friendship That Could Never Become Love
This is a story of betrayal, love, and Dan’s dangerous obsession, where emotional decisions ultimately end at a terrifying turning point.
Lauren and Dan had a long history of friendship. Both of their lives were passing by at a moderate pace, but Lauren could never develop the same feelings for Dan that Dan had for her in his heart.
Although Lauren liked Dan’s company and the immense care he took of her, she felt that a strange controlling and obsessive nature was hidden within his personality.
This was the reason that when Lauren met Wayne, she felt a sense of freedom and a true connection for the first time in her life.
Wayne was a quiet and calm person who cared about Lauren’s likes and dislikes without imposing his own will upon her.
Gradually, Lauren’s inclination toward Wayne grew, and she finally decided to leave Dan’s world to live with Wayne.
2. Dan’s Obsession Begins
This step taken by Lauren was nothing short of a catastrophe for Dan. His ego-driven pride and his obsession with Lauren would not let him live in peace.
When Lauren packed her things and went to Wayne, Dan’s life was left with only one purpose:
In the beginning, Dan tried to persuade Lauren directly. He would call her continuously, send long text messages, and beg her for hours.
However, Lauren did not give the slightest importance to his words. She would hang up the phone every time or ignore his messages.
Dan’s repeated interference frustrated Lauren’s mind even further, and instead of going back to him, she strengthened her relationship with Wayne even more.
3. Threats, Fear & A Dangerous Plan
When Dan saw that his words were having no effect on Lauren, his anger and obsession grew to a dangerous level.
He now decided to turn his focus toward Wayne. Dan made threatening phone calls to Wayne. He told Wayne in clear words to stay away from Lauren, or the consequences would be dire.
Not only that, but Dan also sent messages to Wayne through some of his local friends and thug-like associates. His men would circle outside Wayne’s house and try to intimidate him so that he would back off from Lauren.
Dan thought that Wayne would get scared and leave Lauren, but Wayne did no such thing. He completely ignored all of Dan’s threats and messages.
Wayne believed that Lauren was a mature, free individual, and as long as she wanted to stay with him, he would not leave her alone out of fear of any thug or obsessive person.
Wayne’s indifferent attitude acted like salt on Dan’s wounds.
A few days passed like this. On the surface, it seemed as if Dan had gone quiet and given up, but the truth was quite the opposite.
Dan had not given up; rather, he was quietly working on an extremely dangerous plan. He was keeping an eye on both of them day and night, waiting for the right opportunity.
4. The Park: When Dan Finally Appears
One evening, in a quiet and beautiful park in the city, Dan finally got that opportunity.
The weather was very pleasant, and the sun was setting. In a corner of the park, beneath a tree on a bench, Lauren and Wayne were sitting together and talking.
Both were free from any fear or worry, enjoying each other’s company. Lauren was laughing out loud at Wayne’s words, completely unaware that just a short distance away behind the bushes, Dan’s obsessive eyes were continuously glaring at them.
Dan had followed them to the park. When he saw Lauren so happy with Wayne, his self-control completely shattered. An intense wave of obsession took over his mind.
Without any hesitation or fear, Dan walked briskly toward the bench. Before Lauren or Wayne could understand anything, Dan suddenly appeared and stood right in front of them.
The smile instantly disappeared from Lauren’s face, and shadows of fear spread across it.
Dan did not say a single word. His face was red with rage, and there was a wild glint in his eyes. Without thinking twice, he stepped forward and grabbed Lauren’s wrist with all his strength.
Wayne immediately stood up from the bench and stepped forward, trying to break Lauren free from Dan’s grip.
5. The Terrifying Turning Point
But Dan was blind with anger at that moment. With his other hand, he shoved Wayne so hard that Wayne could not maintain his balance and fell to the ground.
Before Wayne could compose himself and get back up, Dan forcibly pulled Lauren toward himself.
Lauren screamed loudly and started thrashing her hands and feet to free herself, but Dan’s grip was as tight as iron.
Dan did not listen to Lauren at all and began dragging her forcibly toward the back entrance of the park.
The people present in the park were watching all of this in shock and fear, but the incident happened so fast that no one could comprehend what was going on.
Wayne quickly got up and ran after them, but Dan reached his car, which was parked outside the park with the engine running, shoved Lauren inside, and forcibly shut the door.
In an instant, Dan put his foot on the gas pedal and sped the car down the road, while Wayne was left standing helpless and distressed on the empty street behind.
Dan had carried out his crazy plan, but now this story was heading toward a destination from which there was no turning back.
