Lauren & D’Nisha
The Office Showdown
INT. WAYNE’S OFFICE — MORNING
The office is busy. Employees move between desks, phones ring, and conversations fill the hallway.
Lauren walks through the main entrance with confidence, carrying her bag. She looks around the office before heading toward Wayne’s area.
As Lauren passes the hallway, she suddenly notices something unexpected. D’Nisha is sitting inside a private cabin.
Lauren stops. Her expression changes instantly. She looks through the glass door again, making sure she is seeing correctly.
LAUREN
“What is D’Nisha doing in that cabin?”
Lauren’s eyes narrow. She slowly walks toward the cabin.
INSIDE D’NISHA’S CABIN
D’Nisha is sitting comfortably at the desk, looking through some documents.
Lauren doesn’t knock. She opens the door and walks straight inside.
D’NISHA
“Lauren?”
D’Nisha puts the papers down and stares at her.
LAUREN
“What are you doing in here?”
D’NISHA
“Working.”
LAUREN
“Working? In this cabin?”
D’NISHA
“Yes. Is there a problem?”
THE ARGUMENT ESCALATES
Lauren steps closer. Her voice becomes sharper.
LAUREN
“There is definitely a problem.”
D’NISHA
“Then tell me what it is.”
Lauren points around the room.
LAUREN
“This is Wayne’s office. You can’t just come in here and take over his space.”
D’Nisha stands up. She remains calm, but her expression becomes serious.
D’NISHA
“First of all, this is my cabin now.”
LAUREN
“Your cabin?”
D’NISHA
“Yes. Wayne gave it to me himself.”
Lauren lets out a frustrated laugh.
LAUREN
“You’re serious?”
D’NISHA
“Very serious.”
D’NISHA’S WARNING
D’NISHA
“And from now on, before you come into my office, ask me for permission.”
Lauren stares at her. For a moment, neither woman says anything.
LAUREN
“Ask you for permission?”
D’NISHA
“Yes.”
LAUREN
“This is my boyfriend Wayne’s office!”
D’NISHA
“And Wayne gave me this cabin himself.”
THE FINAL WARNING
Lauren’s face turns angry. She points toward D’Nisha.
LAUREN
“You better watch how you talk to me.”
D’NISHA
“You should watch how you come into my office.”
The tension rises. Employees outside begin looking toward the cabin.
LAUREN
“I’m giving you one last warning.”
D’NISHA
“And I’m giving you one too.”
LAUREN
“You’re warning me?”
D’NISHA
“Yes. This is my office, and I expect you to respect that.”
THE CONFRONTATION
Lauren becomes even more furious. The argument grows louder.
LAUREN
“You really think you can talk to me like that?”
D’NISHA
“I’m not afraid to tell you the truth.”
Lauren points toward the door.
LAUREN
“You need to remember who you’re talking to.”
D’NISHA
“I know exactly who I’m talking to.”
Lauren clenches her jaw. The atmosphere inside the cabin becomes extremely tense.
THE SITUATION GETS OUT OF CONTROL
Lauren suddenly steps forward. D’Nisha stands her ground.
LAUREN
“Don’t turn your back on me!”
D’NISHA
“Then stop yelling at me.”
Lauren moves closer. The argument reaches its breaking point.
LAUREN
“You have no idea who you’re dealing with.”
D’NISHA
“And you have no idea how tired I am of your attitude.”
Lauren loses her temper and grabs D’Nisha by the hair. D’Nisha reacts in shock and tries to pull away.
D’NISHA
“Lauren! Let go of me!”
Employees outside gasp and quickly move away from the cabin.
EMPLOYEE
“Someone get Wayne!”
WAYNE ARRIVES
Suddenly, footsteps can be heard approaching quickly from the hallway.
Wayne appears at the doorway. He stops when he sees what is happening.
WAYNE
“What is going on in here?!”
Wayne rushes inside and immediately tries to separate them.
WAYNE
“Lauren! D’Nisha! Stop!”
WAYNE
“Both of you, back up!”
D’Nisha steps away, breathing heavily. Lauren also steps back, still visibly angry.
WAYNE DEMANDS ANSWERS
WAYNE
“Are you two serious right now?”
Neither woman answers.
WAYNE
“I leave the office for a few minutes, and I come back to this?”
LAUREN
“She was disrespecting me!”
