A Dramatic Podcast Office Story

🎬 INT. WAYNE’S PODCAST OFFICE – DAY
The room is tense. Wayne stands at the front of the office while Lauren, D’Nisha, and the other girls sit nearby. Everyone is already frustrated after a heated discussion about the podcast.
Wayne looks around the room, clearly tired of the arguing.
WAYNE “If any of you wants to leave, then go ahead.”
Silence. The girls stare at him in disbelief.
Then—everyone starts talking at once.
LAUREN “So that’s what you’re saying now? If we don’t like something, we should just leave?”
DELICIA “Wayne, that’s not fair. We’re trying to understand where you’re coming from.”
D’NISHA “Everybody is already stressed. Telling people to leave isn’t going to solve anything.”
WAYNE “I’m not forcing anybody to stay.”
Wayne folds his arms.
WAYNE “But I’m also not going to sit here and argue all day.”
The room becomes even more heated. Lauren shakes her head, clearly offended.
LAUREN “We’ve put too much into this podcast for you to talk like we’re disposable.”
WAYNE “Nobody said you’re disposable.”
LAUREN “Then why does it feel like we’re constantly being pushed around?”
⚡ THE BIG REVELATION
Wayne takes a slow breath. He knows the conversation is heading somewhere bigger.
WAYNE “Since everybody wants to know what’s really going on, I’ll tell you.”
The girls become quiet.
WAYNE “I’ve been thinking about making some changes.”
Lauren’s expression immediately changes.
LAUREN “What kind of changes?”
Wayne pauses before dropping the bombshell.
WAYNE “I’ve been thinking about removing Lauren as the podcast leader.”
Everyone freezes.
DELICIA “Wait—what?”
LAUREN “Excuse me?”
WAYNE “And I’ve been thinking about putting D’Nisha in that position.”

🔥 A New Podcast Leader?

Wayne’s shocking announcement leaves everyone stunned.

D’NISHA “You really mean that?”
WAYNE “I’m considering it.”
🚪 WAYNE TAKES D’NISHA TO HIS OFFICE
WAYNE “D’Nisha, come with me.”
D’Nisha stands. Lauren watches them carefully.
Wayne walks toward his office. D’Nisha follows him.
The door closes behind them.
Lauren remains frozen in place. Her anger slowly turns into disbelief.
🎬 INT. WAYNE’S OFFICE – MOMENTS LATER
Wayne sits behind his desk. D’Nisha stands across from him, still processing what happened.
She can’t hide her excitement.
D’NISHA “I honestly didn’t expect you to say that.”
WAYNE “I haven’t made the final decision.”
D’NISHA “But you’re thinking about it.”
WAYNE “Yes.”
D’NISHA “That means a lot to me.”
WAYNE “If I give you that responsibility, I need you to understand what comes with it.”
D’NISHA “I understand.”
D’NISHA “But I’d love the opportunity.”
Wayne nods.
Outside the office, however, Lauren is furious.
💥 LAUREN LOSES HER PATIENCE
Lauren paces back and forth. The other girls watch her nervously.
DELICIA “Lauren, maybe you should just calm down.”
LAUREN “Calm down?”
Lauren lets out a frustrated laugh.
LAUREN “He just walked into his office with D’Nisha after telling everybody he’s thinking about replacing me.”
Lauren looks toward Wayne’s office.
LAUREN “I’m going to get an explanation.”
She storms toward the office door.
🔥 THE CONFRONTATION
Wayne and D’Nisha turn toward the door as Lauren walks in.
LAUREN “What’s going on?”
WAYNE “Lauren, we’re talking.”
LAUREN “I can see that.”
She looks at D’Nisha, then turns back toward Wayne.
LAUREN “You tell everybody you’re thinking about removing me, then you take D’Nisha into your office?”
WAYNE “That’s not what happened.”
LAUREN “Then explain it to me.”
WAYNE “I said I’m considering changes.”
LAUREN “And I’m the change?”
WAYNE “That’s not what I said.”
LAUREN “You didn’t have to say anything else.”
LAUREN “You’re starting to give D’Nisha more importance than me!”
D’Nisha looks uncomfortable.
D’NISHA “Lauren, that’s not—”
LAUREN “Stay out of this!”
D’Nisha falls silent.
WAYNE “Enough.”
