BROOKE’S HEARTBREAK — HOPE AND FAITH DELIVER THE NEWS

SCENE 1 — BROOKE’S BEDROOM — EVENING

The room is quiet.

Brooke sits on the edge of her bed, staring at her phone. Her expression is tired, and her thoughts are clearly somewhere else.

Her phone suddenly begins to ring.

She looks at the screen.

HOPE & FAITH

Brooke hesitates before answering.

She takes a slow breath and accepts the call.

BROOKE
“Hello?”

There is a brief silence.

Hope and Faith exchange a look on the other end of the call.

They seem to know exactly what they want to say.

HOPE
“Brooke, we need to tell you something.”

Brooke immediately notices the serious tone in Hope’s voice.

BROOKE
“What happened?”

Faith leans closer to the phone.

FAITH
“It’s about Isaiah.”

Brooke’s expression changes instantly.

She sits up straighter.

BROOKE
“What about Isaiah?”

Hope pauses for a moment before speaking.

HOPE
“Isaiah betrayed you.”

Brooke freezes.

Her eyes widen.

BROOKE
“What are you talking about?”

Faith quickly joins the conversation.

FAITH
“He left you, Brooke. He’s already moved on.”

Brooke stares at the floor.

Her breathing becomes heavier.

BROOKE
“No… that’s not true.”

Hope looks at Faith and then continues.

HOPE
“He has another girlfriend now.”

Brooke’s face falls.

For a moment, she doesn’t say anything.

Her fingers tighten around the phone.

BROOKE
“Are you serious?”

FAITH
“Yes. We’re serious.”

Brooke slowly shakes her head.

BROOKE
“Isaiah wouldn’t do that.”

Hope gives a small laugh.

HOPE
“Brooke, you really still believe he’s sitting around waiting for you?”

Faith laughs along.

FAITH
“You need to wake up.”

Brooke looks increasingly uncomfortable.

She tries to keep her emotions under control.

BROOKE
“Why are you both laughing?”

Hope shrugs.

HOPE
“Because you’re still defending him.”

Faith continues teasing her.

FAITH
“He moved on, Brooke. You’re the one still holding on.”

Brooke’s eyes begin to fill with tears.

She quickly wipes them away.

BROOKE
“Stop it.”

Her voice is quiet.

Hope doesn’t stop.

HOPE
“You know what? Isaiah was never as serious about you as you thought.”

Faith nods.

FAITH
“He used you, Brooke. And now he’s with somebody else.”

Brooke closes her eyes.

The words hit her harder than she expected.

SCENE 2 — BROOKE’S BEDROOM — CONTINUOUS

Brooke gets up from the bed.

She begins pacing slowly across the room.

BROOKE
“You don’t know what happened between us.”

FAITH
“We know enough.”

HOPE
“And honestly, Brooke, you should stop making excuses for him.”

Brooke stops walking.

A tear rolls down her cheek.

BROOKE
“Please… just stop.”

Her voice cracks.

Faith and Hope continue talking, not realizing how badly Brooke is taking the conversation.

FAITH
“We’re just telling you the truth.”

HOPE
“You deserve better than someone who can leave you this easily.”

Brooke looks at herself in the mirror.

Her eyes are filled with tears.

She struggles to breathe normally.

BROOKE
“I trusted him.”

Silence follows.

For the first time, Hope and Faith notice that Brooke is genuinely crying.

FAITH
“Brooke?”

Brooke turns away from the mirror.

BROOKE
“I trusted Isaiah with everything.”

Her voice trembles.

BROOKE
“And now you’re telling me he just replaced me?”

Hope becomes quieter.

HOPE
“Brooke…”

Brooke shakes her head.

BROOKE
“No. Don’t.”

She wipes her tears, but more tears immediately fall.

BROOKE
“I don’t want to hear anything else.”

Faith sighs.

FAITH
“We were only trying to tell you.”

Brooke looks down at the floor.

BROOKE
“You were making fun of me.”

Neither Hope nor Faith answers.

Brooke slowly sits back down on the bed.

SCENE 3 — BROOKE’S BEDROOM — MOMENTS LATER

The call remains connected.

Brooke’s shoulders begin to shake as she cries.

HOPE
“Brooke, calm down.”

Brooke tries to answer but struggles to get the words out.

BROOKE
“I… I can’t.”

Faith looks concerned now.

FAITH
“Are you okay?”

Brooke places one hand against her forehead.

BROOKE
“I feel like everything is falling apart.”

She looks toward the window.

The room seems to spin slightly.

HOPE
“Brooke, sit down.”

Brooke is already sitting, but she suddenly looks weak.

She grips the edge of the bed.

BROOKE
“I don’t feel right.”

Faith’s expression changes.

FAITH
“What do you mean?”

Brooke tries to focus on the phone.

Her vision becomes blurry.

BROOKE
“I… I don’t know.”

The phone slips slightly from her hand.

HOPE
“Brooke?”

No answer.

FAITH
“Brooke, can you hear us?”

Brooke’s eyes slowly close.

She loses consciousness and falls back onto the bed.

The phone remains beside her.

Hope and Faith are still connected.

HOPE
“Brooke?!”

Faith’s voice becomes frightened.

FAITH
“Brooke, wake up!”

There is no response.

SCENE 4 — BROOKE’S BEDROOM — CONTINUOUS

The room becomes completely silent.

Brooke lies unconscious on the bed.

Her phone continues to glow beside her.

Hope and Faith desperately call her name through the speaker.

HOPE
“Brooke! Please answer!”

FAITH
“Something’s wrong!”

Hope looks at Faith with panic.

HOPE
“We need to get someone to her!”

Faith nods immediately.

FAITH
“Yes. Now.”

Back in Brooke’s room, there is still no response.

The camera slowly moves closer to Brooke.

A tear remains on her cheek.

The phone screen continues showing the ongoing call.

HOPE
“Brooke, please wake up.”

The screen slowly fades to black.
