A tense confrontation changes everything.

Amber refuses to let Wayne’s dealings with Dave destroy their trust.

The Confrontation Begins

The atmosphere inside the house had changed completely. What had started as a normal conversation had turned into a tense confrontation. Amber stood near the living room, staring at Wayne with disbelief.

She had heard enough about his dealings with Dave, and she was no longer willing to stay quiet. Wayne tried to remain calm, but Amber’s expression made it clear that she had reached her limit.

Amber: “Wayne, I need you to explain something to me. Why are you still dealing with Dave?”

Wayne paused before answering. He knew immediately that this was not going to be an easy conversation.

Wayne: “Amber, it’s complicated. Dave and I have been talking about a few things, but that doesn’t mean—”
Amber: “That doesn’t mean what? That we’re supposed to ignore it? That we’re supposed to pretend everything is fine?”

Wayne sighed and tried to explain himself, but Amber was already frustrated.

Amber: “I understand enough. And honestly, I don’t like what I’m hearing.”

Amber Makes Her Decision

Wayne stepped closer, hoping to calm her down. He explained that he had only been trying to work something out, but Amber refused to accept the explanation.

Wayne: “I was only trying to work something out.”
Amber: “But we never agreed to work anything out with Dave. You made that decision yourself.”

Wayne looked frustrated. He believed he had been trying to create an opportunity, but Amber saw the situation differently.
