The Airport Chase: Rookie’s Last Chance

The afternoon at Larry’s house felt unusually tense. Everyone seemed to be going about their normal routine, but Larry had something serious on his mind. He stood near the living room window, holding his phone and speaking quietly.

Larry had just received some unexpected information.

Larry “Wait… Isaiah is really leaving the country?”

He listened carefully to the person on the other end of the call.

Larry “When is he leaving?”

Larry’s expression changed as he heard the answer.

Larry “Today? You’re telling me he’s leaving today?”

What Larry didn’t realize was that Rookie was nearby. She had been walking down the hallway when she overheard Isaiah’s name. She stopped immediately and quietly listened.

The moment she heard that Isaiah was leaving the country, her heart started racing.

Rookie “Isaiah is leaving today?”

She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

Rookie stepped closer, trying to hear every word Larry was saying.

Larry ended the call and shook his head.

Larry “I can’t believe this. Isaiah is actually getting out of the country.”

Rookie’s eyes widened. She immediately realized what this meant.

If Isaiah left today, she might never get another opportunity to stop him.

Rookie “Today is the only chance I have to catch him.”

She quickly pulled out her phone and checked the time. There wasn’t much time left.

Rookie rushed to her room and started getting ready as quickly as possible. She grabbed her bag, put on her shoes, and headed for the door.

Rookie “I’m not letting him disappear like this.”

She hurried outside and got into her car.

As she drove toward the airport, her mind was racing. She kept thinking about everything that had happened and all the things she still wanted to say to Isaiah.

Rookie “Isaiah, you’re not just going to leave without hearing me out.”

At the Airport

Meanwhile, at the airport, Isaiah was preparing to leave. He stood near the departure area with his luggage, looking calm on the outside.

His flight was approaching, and he believed he was finally getting away from all the drama.

Isaiah “Once I get on that plane, everything is going to change.”

But he had no idea that Rookie was already on her way.

Minutes later, Rookie arrived at the airport. She rushed through the entrance, looking around desperately.

Rookie “Where is he? Where is Isaiah?”

She scanned the crowded terminal.

Then, suddenly, she spotted him.

Isaiah was standing near the boarding area with his luggage. Rookie’s heart dropped.

Rookie “There he is!”

She immediately ran toward him.

Isaiah turned around after hearing someone call his name.

Rookie “ISAIAH!”

He froze. His expression completely changed when he saw Rookie running toward him.

Isaiah “Rookie? What are you doing here?”

Rookie stopped in front of him, breathing heavily.

Rookie “I came to stop you.”
Isaiah “Stop me from doing what?”
Rookie “From leaving.”

Isaiah looked toward the departure gate.

Isaiah “Rookie, you’re too late. I have to go.”
Rookie “No. You don’t have to go.”

Isaiah picked up his luggage.

Isaiah “I’ve already made my decision.”

Rookie stepped in front of him.

Rookie “Then change it.”

Isaiah looked at her silently.

Rookie’s voice became emotional.

Rookie “Please, Isaiah. Just listen to me for a minute.”

He finally stopped.

Isaiah “What do you want me to say?”

Rookie took a deep breath.

Rookie “I want you to stay.”

Isaiah looked away.

Rookie “You can’t just leave everything behind without giving us a chance to fix things.”
Isaiah “Rookie, you don’t understand. I need to leave.”
Rookie “Then help me understand!”

Her eyes filled with emotion.

Rookie “If you really want to leave after we talk, I won’t stop you. But don’t get on that plane without hearing me.”

Isaiah remained silent. For the first time, he looked uncertain.

The airport announcement echoed through the terminal.

Announcement “Final boarding call for passengers traveling on Flight…”

Rookie looked at Isaiah.

Rookie “That’s your flight.”

Isaiah glanced toward the gate. Then he looked back at Rookie.

Rookie “This is your last chance to walk away… or stay and face everything.”

Isaiah tightened his grip on his luggage.

Isaiah “Rookie…”
Rookie “Please.”

The tension between them became overwhelming.

Isaiah looked toward the gate one more time. Then, slowly, he put his luggage down.

Rookie’s eyes widened.

Rookie “You’re staying?”

Isaiah didn’t answer immediately. He simply looked at her.

Isaiah “I don’t know what happens next.”

Rookie smiled through her tears.

Rookie “We figure it out together.”

Isaiah took a deep breath.

The plane could leave without him. But for the first time, he was willing to stay and face the consequences of his choices.

Rookie had made it to the airport just in time.

What started as a desperate chase had turned into a moment that could change everything. ✈️❤️

Would Isaiah really stay, or would he change his mind at the last second?
