DAVE
“Who could that be?”
He opened the door and found Evelyn standing outside with a folder in her hands.
EVELYN
“Hi, Dave. I came to discuss the business proposal we talked about.”
Dave smiled warmly. He had admired Evelyn for a long time but had never confessed his feelings.
DAVE
“Come inside. I’ve been looking forward to this meeting.”
Evelyn entered and explained her proposal. Dave listened carefully, impressed by her confidence and preparation.
Neither of them noticed Amber watching from the hallway. Her expression changed as she saw Dave smiling at another woman.
SCENE 2: AMBER STARTS A CONFRONTATION

Evelyn spread the business documents across the table. Before she could finish explaining, Amber walked into the room with folded arms.
AMBER
“Well, well. What do we have here? Another woman looking for an excuse to spend time with Dave?”
EVELYN
“I’m here for a business meeting. Dave and I are discussing a proposal.”
Amber laughed sarcastically and pointed toward the door.
AMBER
“Take your papers and leave. We don’t need strangers coming into this house.”
DAVE
“Amber, please. Evelyn is my guest. There’s no reason to start an argument.”
But Amber refused to listen. Her jealousy had taken control, and she was determined to make Evelyn leave.
SCENE 3: THE ARGUMENT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
Evelyn began collecting her documents, unwilling to become involved in a personal conflict.
EVELYN
“Dave, perhaps we should continue another day. I don’t want to cause problems.”
DAVE
“You haven’t caused anything. You deserve to be treated with respect.”
Amber turned toward Dave, unable to believe he was defending Evelyn.
AMBER
“So now you’re taking her side against me? You think I can’t see the way she looks at you?”

“This isn’t about taking sides. I’m tired of the accusations and the way you treat people.”
The room fell silent. Amber realized that Dave was no longer willing to ignore her behavior just to avoid another argument.
SCENE 4: DAVE THROWS AMBER OUT
Amber stepped closer to Dave, her eyes filled with disbelief.
AMBER
“You’re really going to embarrass me for her? After everything?”
DAVE
“You turned a business meeting into a personal attack. I won’t allow you to disrespect my guests in my own home.”
Amber stared at him.
AMBER
“Are you kicking me out?”
DAVE
“Yes. I need you to leave.”
Amber grabbed her belongings and stormed toward the door. Before leaving, she turned back with a bitter expression.
AMBER
“You’ll regret this, Dave. Remember my words.”
The door slammed shut. Dave stood silently while Evelyn wondered whether his decision would bring them closer or create even bigger problems.
SCENE 5: DAVE CONFESSES HIS FEELINGS
After Amber left, Dave invited Evelyn to sit down again. The business documents remained on the table, almost forgotten.
DAVE
“I owe you an apology for what happened. You deserved a peaceful meeting.”
EVELYN
“You don’t have to apologize for someone else’s behavior. But I want us to be honest with each other.”
Dave took a deep breath. He knew it was time to stop hiding his feelings.
DAVE
“I’ve liked you for a long time, Evelyn. I admire your confidence, your intelligence, and the way you handle difficult situations.”
Evelyn looked at him in surprise.
EVELYN
“I didn’t know you felt that way.”
DAVE
“I never found the right moment to tell you. But I don’t want to keep hiding my feelings.”
Evelyn admitted that she cared about him, too, but she wanted their relationship to be built on honesty rather than jealousy.
SCENE 6: AN UNEXPECTED MARRIAGE PROPOSAL
As the evening continued, Dave and Evelyn talked about their ambitions, their lives, and the future they hoped to build.
DAVE
“I don’t want to pretend my feelings are small or temporary. I want to build something real with you.”
Evelyn looked into his eyes, surprised by the seriousness of his words.
DAVE
“Evelyn, will you marry me?”

“Dave, are you serious?”

AMBER
“You think you’ve won, Evelyn. You think you’ve taken everything from me.”
She opened Dave’s contact on her phone, typed a message, and then deleted it. Her anger grew as she imagined Dave building a future with another woman.
AMBER
“This isn’t over. Not yet.”
She started her car and drove away. She had no clear plan, but she refused to accept that Dave had moved on.
Inside the house, Dave and Evelyn continued discussing their future, unaware that Amber’s next move might change everything.
SCENE 8: A PROMISE AND A SHOCKING WARNING
Interior — Dave’s House — The Following Morning.
Evelyn stood near the window with a cup of coffee while Dave reviewed his schedule.
EVELYN
“I don’t want our relationship to become a competition. Whatever happened between you and Amber, we need to build our future on trust.”
DAVE
“I agree. I meant what I said last night. I want to marry you, and I won’t take that promise lightly.”
Suddenly, Dave’s phone rang. He answered, and his expression changed as he listened to the person on the other end.
DAVE
“What do you mean? When did this happen? Don’t do anything until I get there. I’m coming.”
He ended the call. Evelyn immediately noticed the worry on his face.
EVELYN
“Dave, what’s wrong? Does this have something to do with Amber?”
Dave hesitated before answering.
DAVE
“There’s something about Amber that you don’t know.”
Evelyn’s expression changed.
EVELYN
“What are you talking about? You promised me honesty.”
Before Dave could explain, someone knocked loudly on the front door.
AMBER (OUTSIDE)
“Dave! I know you’re in there. We need to talk about what happened last night!”
Evelyn looked at Dave, waiting for an explanation. But he was staring at his phone, unable to hide his fear.
EVELYN
“Before you open that door, tell me what you just read.”
Dave slowly approached the entrance. Then Amber’s voice rang out again.
AMBER (OUTSIDE)
“Evelyn deserves to know what happened before she agrees to marry you!”
