SHARRA DIES ALONE — BROOKE AND LARRY BREAK DOWN IN TEARS!
Sharra had spent the entire morning trying to convince herself that the pain in her chest would eventually disappear. She had been feeling weak for days, but she refused to admit how serious her condition had become. The last thing she wanted was to become a burden to anyone.
She sat alone on the edge of her bed, holding her phone in trembling hands. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at the names of the people she wished were beside her.
Brooke.
Larry.
They were the only people she could think of, but neither of them knew how badly she was suffering.
Sharra took a deep breath and tried to stand. Suddenly, the room began to spin. She grabbed the edge of the bedside table, but her legs gave way beneath her.
SHARRA: “Please… somebody help me.”
Her voice was barely audible.
She reached for her phone, but it slipped from her hand and landed on the floor. Sharra tried to bend down to retrieve it, but the pain became unbearable.
She collapsed beside the bed.
For several minutes, she struggled to gather enough strength to move. Her breathing became increasingly difficult, and she could feel herself growing weaker.
SHARRA: “Brooke… Larry… please…”
But nobody heard her.
Across town, Brooke was sitting in Larry’s living room, trying to distract herself from the tension that had been building between them. Larry stood near the window, staring outside with a troubled expression.
BROOKE: “Larry, have you heard from Sharra today?”
Larry turned toward her.
LARRY: “No. Why?”
BROOKE: “I called her this morning, but she didn’t answer. I thought maybe she was sleeping.”
Larry picked up his phone and checked the time.
LARRY: “I’ll try calling her.”
He dialed Sharra’s number.
The phone rang several times before going to voicemail.
Larry frowned.
LARRY: “That’s strange. She usually answers.”
Brooke stood up, suddenly worried.
BROOKE: “Call her again.”
Larry tried a second time.
Nothing.
Brooke’s expression changed.
BROOKE: “Something isn’t right. Sharra never ignores us like this.”
Larry looked at her, his concern growing.
LARRY: “Maybe we should go check on her.”
BROOKE: “Yes. We need to go now.”
They hurried toward the door, unaware that Sharra was already fighting for her life.
Meanwhile, Sharra lay motionless on the bedroom floor. Her phone was still within reach, but she no longer had the strength to pick it up.
She tried to call out again.
SHARRA: “Help me…”
Her voice faded into silence.
A few moments later, Brooke and Larry arrived at Sharra’s house. Brooke knocked repeatedly, but there was no answer.
BROOKE: “Sharra! It’s Brooke! Open the door!”
Larry tried the handle.
The door was locked.
LARRY: “Sharra, it’s me. Please answer!”
Brooke began to panic.
BROOKE: “Larry, something has happened. I can feel it.”
Larry looked through the window, but he couldn’t see anything.
He called Sharra again.
This time, they heard her phone ringing inside the house.
Brooke’s eyes widened.
BROOKE: “She’s inside!”
Larry immediately contacted emergency services and explained that someone might be seriously ill inside the house.
While they waited for help, Brooke continued calling Sharra’s name.
BROOKE: “Sharra, please! We’re here! Just hold on!”
But there was no response.
The minutes felt endless.
When help finally arrived, the responders entered the house and rushed toward the bedroom. Brooke and Larry followed them, their hearts pounding.
Then Brooke saw Sharra lying on the floor.
BROOKE: “SHARRA!”
She rushed forward, but one of the responders gently stopped her.
BROOKE: “Please give us some room. We need to help her.”
Brooke covered her mouth, unable to believe what she was seeing.
Larry stood frozen in the doorway.
LARRY: “No… no, this can’t be happening.”
The responders immediately began treating Sharra and preparing her for transport.
Brooke held Larry’s arm as tears streamed down her face.
BROOKE: “Larry, please tell me she’s going to be okay.”
Larry swallowed hard.
LARRY: “She has to be. She’s going to be okay.”
But his trembling voice betrayed his fear.
At the hospital, Brooke and Larry waited outside the emergency room. Brooke paced back and forth, repeatedly wiping her tears.
Larry sat with his head bowed, his hands clasped tightly together.
BROOKE: “Why didn’t she tell us she was feeling this bad?”
LARRY: “Maybe she didn’t want to worry us.”
Brooke stopped walking.
BROOKE: “But we could have helped her. We could have been there.”
Larry looked up at her.
LARRY: “I know.”
Brooke began crying harder.
BROOKE: “She was alone, Larry. She was suffering, and nobody was there to hear her.”
Larry stood and pulled Brooke into a comforting embrace.
LARRY: “We didn’t know. We didn’t know she needed us.”
For a moment, they stood together in silence, both praying that Sharra would survive.
Finally, the doctor approached them.
Brooke immediately stepped forward.
BROOKE: “Doctor, how is she? Is she going to be okay?”
The doctor looked at them with a serious expression.
DOCTOR: “I’m very sorry. We did everything we could, but Sharra’s condition was extremely critical when she arrived.”
Brooke shook her head.
BROOKE: “No. Please don’t say that.”
Larry’s face turned pale.
LARRY: “What are you telling us?”
The doctor lowered his eyes.
DOCTOR: “Sharra has passed away.”
Brooke let out a heartbreaking cry.
BROOKE: “NO! SHARRA!”
She collapsed into Larry’s arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
Larry struggled to hold her as tears rolled down his face.
LARRY: “She can’t be gone. She can’t!”
The doctor quietly stepped away, leaving them alone with their grief.
Brooke covered her face with both hands.
BROOKE: “She needed us, Larry. She needed us, and we weren’t there.”
Larry couldn’t find the words to comfort her.
He simply held her while they both cried.
After a while, a nurse approached them and handed Larry a small plastic bag containing Sharra’s belongings.
Inside was her phone.
Larry took it with trembling hands.
LARRY: “Brooke… look.”
The screen was cracked, but it still displayed several missed calls.
There was also a message that Sharra had attempted to send shortly before she collapsed.
Larry opened it.
The message was short.
Please come. I don’t feel well. I need you both.
Brooke stared at the screen, her tears falling faster.
BROOKE: “She was asking for us…”
Larry lowered his head.
LARRY: “I’m so sorry, Sharra.”
Brooke gently took the phone from him and held it against her chest.
BROOKE: “I wish I could hear her voice one more time.”
Larry sat beside her, unable to stop crying.
For a long time, neither of them spoke.
Then Brooke suddenly remembered something.
BROOKE: “Larry, did Sharra say anything to you yesterday?”
Larry looked at her.
LARRY: “What do you mean?”
Brooke hesitated.
BROOKE: “She called me last night. She sounded frightened. She said there was something important she needed to tell us.”
Larry’s expression changed.
LARRY: “What was it?”
Brooke shook her head.
BROOKE: “I don’t know. She said she would explain everything when we saw her.”
Larry looked down at Sharra’s phone.
LARRY: “Maybe she left something behind.”
Brooke opened the message history and began scrolling through the recent conversations.
Then she stopped.
Her face suddenly turned pale.
LARRY: “Brooke? What is it?”
She stared at the screen, her hands trembling.
BROOKE: “Larry… there’s another message.”
Larry leaned closer.
Brooke opened it.
The message had been sent only minutes before Sharra collapsed.
It read:
If anything happens to me, please don’t let them take Brooke away.
Larry stared at the words in disbelief.
LARRY: “Who is she talking about?”
Brooke looked up at him, tears filling her eyes.
BROOKE: “I don’t know, Larry. But I think Sharra was trying to warn us about something.”
Before Larry could respond, another notification appeared on Sharra’s phone.
A new message had arrived from an unknown number.
Brooke opened it.
And the moment she read the first line, she began trembling.
BROOKE: “Larry… I think someone knows what happened to Sharra.”
Larry looked at the screen.
The message contained only five words:
You were never supposed to find her.
