Dave’s Visit to Omni

The afternoon was unusually quiet when Dave arrived at Omni’s place. He had been carrying a lot of emotions for days, and he knew he needed someone who would listen without judging him.

Omni welcomed him inside with a warm smile. She immediately noticed that something was bothering him.

“Dave, what’s going on? You seem different today. Is everything okay between you and Amber?”

Dave sat down on the couch and took a deep breath. He looked away for a moment, trying to organize his thoughts.

“Honestly, Omni, things haven’t been good between us for a long time. I’ve tried to ignore certain things, but I can’t keep pretending that everything is fine.”

Omni sat beside him, curious to understand what had happened.

“Are you talking about Amber? I thought you two were trying to make things work. Is she treating you badly?”

Dave shook his head.

“It’s not just about how she treats me today. It’s about everything I’ve learned about her past. Sometimes, I feel like I’m competing with memories of people who were in her life before me.”

Omni listened carefully. She could tell that Dave had been holding these feelings inside for quite some time.

Dave Opens Up About Amber’s Past

Omni wanted to understand exactly why Dave was so unhappy.

“Dave, I need you to explain something to me. What exactly bothers you so much about Amber? Does she still talk to someone from her past?”

Dave looked directly at her.

“That’s the problem. I can’t forget her history with Anthony and Wayne. These aren’t strangers I never have to see. They’re my business partners. I have to work with them, sit in meetings with them, and see them regularly.”

He paused, visibly frustrated.

“Every time Anthony or Wayne walks into a room, I remember their history with Amber. I start thinking about everything that happened between them. It makes me uncomfortable, and I can’t explain how much it affects me.”

Omni looked surprised.

“So you’re saying that even when Amber is with you, your mind keeps going back to Anthony and Wayne?”

“Exactly! I want to move forward, but something always reminds me of the past. I don’t feel peaceful anymore. I thought I could handle it, but I’m beginning to realize that I can’t.”

Omni gently placed her hand on the couch.

“But Dave, you have to decide what you really want. You can’t keep yourself trapped in a relationship if you’re no longer happy. Have you talked to Amber about these feelings?”

“I’ve tried, but I don’t think she understands how deeply this affects me. I’m tired of pretending that everything is okay.”

Omni remained quiet. She realized that Dave wasn’t simply complaining about an argument. He was questioning his entire relationship.

Omni Asks Dave What He Really Wants

After a few moments, Omni finally asked the question Dave had been avoiding.

“So what happens now? Are you planning to stay with Amber, or have you already made up your mind to leave her?”

Dave looked down at his hands. For a moment, he didn’t say anything. Then he slowly raised his head and looked at Omni.

“I’ve been thinking about my future. I want someone who makes me feel appreciated. Someone I can trust and build a peaceful life with. I don’t want to wake up every morning feeling like I’m carrying the weight of someone else’s past.”

Omni listened without interrupting.

“That’s a big decision, Dave. You shouldn’t make it just because you’re upset today. Marriage and relationships require honesty. You need to know what you really want.”

Dave nodded.

“I know. And that’s exactly why I came here. Whenever I’m around you, I feel like I can speak openly. I don’t feel like I have to hide my emotions.”

Omni looked into his eyes. She wasn’t expecting what Dave was about to do next.

Dave Makes an Unexpected Move

Suddenly, Dave reached for Omni’s hand. She looked down, confused by his unexpected gesture.

“Dave? What are you doing?”

Instead of answering, Dave gently lifted her hand and placed a kiss on it.

Omni’s expression immediately changed.

Dave slowly stood up, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small engagement ring box.

Omni’s eyes widened.

A beautiful engagement ring sparkled inside.

Omni covered her mouth in complete shock. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

Dave then got down on one knee.

“Omni, I’ve spent so much time thinking about what I want from life. I don’t want to keep living with doubts and unhappiness. I want to build something real with someone who understands me.”

He looked at the ring before looking back into her eyes.

“You make me feel heard. You give me a kind of peace I’ve been missing. I know this is unexpected, but I don’t want to hide how I feel anymore.”

He took another breath.

“Omni, will you marry me?”

For several seconds, the room became completely silent. Omni stared at Dave. She had never imagined that an ordinary conversation about Amber would turn into a marriage proposal.

Omni Accepts Dave’s Proposal

Omni’s eyes filled with happy tears. She looked at Dave, then at the engagement ring.

“Dave, I honestly don’t know what to say. I never expected you to ask me something like this today.”

Dave waited nervously for her answer.

“I understand. I know this is sudden, but I’m serious about what I’m asking.”

Omni finally smiled. She reached toward him and gently touched his face.

“Yes, Dave! I will marry you!”

Dave’s expression immediately changed. A huge smile appeared on his face.

He stood up, and Omni wrapped her arms around him. They embraced each other tightly.

Dave carefully took the ring from the box and slipped it onto her finger.

Omni raised her hand to admire it.

“It’s beautiful. I can’t believe this is actually happening.”

“It is happening. And I want us to have a future together.”

Omni hugged him again. For that moment, both of them seemed completely lost in the excitement of their unexpected engagement.

But neither of them had considered how Amber would react when she discovered the truth.

A little later, Dave and Omni sat together, looking at the engagement ring. Omni couldn’t stop looking at her hand.

“I still can’t believe you actually proposed to me. Everything happened so quickly.”

“Sometimes, you spend so much time thinking about a decision that eventually you realize you already know what you want.”

Omni smiled.

“But what about Amber? Have you completely ended things with her?”

Dave’s smile slowly disappeared. He knew that question was unavoidable.

“I know I have to deal with that situation. I don’t want to keep anyone confused about where I stand. Amber deserves to know that I’ve made a decision.”

“Then you need to speak to her honestly. I don’t want our future to begin with unnecessary confusion.”

Dave nodded.

“I agree. I want everything to be clear before we move forward.”

He gently held Omni’s hand. Then he lifted her into his arms and carried her toward the bedroom. Omni laughed in surprise and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

They disappeared into the room, sharing a private and affectionate moment as they celebrated their engagement.

Meanwhile, somewhere else, Amber had absolutely no idea that her relationship with Dave was about to change forever.

Amber Starts Wondering About Dave

Later that evening, Amber was at home waiting for Dave. She had tried calling him several times, but he hadn’t answered.

She looked at her phone again.

“Where is Dave? He told me he had somewhere to go, but he hasn’t even checked in.”

She walked around the living room, becoming increasingly frustrated. She decided to send him another message.

“Dave, where are you? I’ve been trying to reach you all afternoon. Call me when you get this.”

But Dave didn’t respond.

Amber sat down on the couch. She remembered that Dave had been acting distant recently. His conversations had become shorter, and he no longer seemed interested in spending as much time with her.

“I don’t understand what’s happening. Every time I try to talk to him, he acts like something is bothering him.”

She picked up her phone again. This time, she decided she would confront him as soon as he returned.

But Amber had no idea that the man she was waiting for had just placed an engagement ring on another woman’s finger.

Meanwhile, Dave was still with Omni. His phone suddenly started ringing.

It was Amber.

Dave looked at the screen. Omni noticed his expression immediately.

“Yes. She’s been calling me.”

Omni looked at him seriously.

“Dave, you need to answer her eventually. You can’t just disappear and expect her not to ask questions.”

Dave sighed.

“I know. I’ll talk to her. But I need to make sure she understands that things cannot continue the way they were.”

Omni looked at the engagement ring on her finger.

“I don’t want to be involved in a situation where someone is being misled. If we’re going to get married, everything needs to be honest.”

“You’re right. I’ll handle it.”

He finally picked up his phone and stared at Amber’s unanswered messages.

He began typing a response, but stopped halfway through. He wasn’t sure how to tell her that he had just proposed to Omni.

The following morning, Amber woke up and immediately checked her phone.

There was finally a message from Dave. But it wasn’t the loving message she had expected.

“Amber, we need to talk. There are some things I need to tell you about our relationship. I don’t think we can continue pretending everything is okay.”

Amber read the
