The room was supposed to be empty.
But Shayla’s phone camera was already recording.
Wayne had cornered Dinisha, believing no one would ever know what happened behind that closed door.
He was wrong.
Because every second was being captured.
And before the night was over, the recording would bring Anthony straight to the house.
SCENE 1 — THE LIVING ROOM
Night.
The house is unusually quiet.
Dinisha stands near the doorway, visibly uncomfortable as Wayne steps closer and blocks her path.
DINISHA
Wayne, move. I don’t want to talk to you.
Wayne shakes his head and steps in front of the door again.
WAYNE
You’re not leaving until you listen to me.
DINISHA
I’ve already told you no.
Wayne reaches toward her arm, trying to stop her from walking away.
DINISHA
Don’t touch me!
For a moment, the room becomes completely silent.
Neither of them notices Shayla standing partially hidden behind the hallway wall.
Her phone is raised.
The camera is recording.
SCENE 2 — SHAYLA’S SECRET
Close-up.
Shayla watches the screen of her phone.
Wayne’s actions are clearly visible.
SHAYLA
(whispering)
I knew something was wrong.
She keeps recording.
DINISHA
Why are you doing this?
WAYNE
Because nobody ever takes me seriously.
DINISHA
That doesn’t give you the right to control me.
Wayne pauses.
WAYNE
You think Anthony is going to save you?
DINISHA
I don’t need anyone to save me.
I just need you to respect my answer.
Shayla silently records every word.
SCENE 3 — THE WARNING
Wayne notices Dinisha’s phone lying on the table.
DINISHA
Put my phone down.
WAYNE
Why? Waiting for someone to call?
DINISHA
Give it back.
Wayne looks at the screen.
Several missed calls from Anthony.
WAYNE
Anthony again?
DINISHA
Yes.
WAYNE
You’re really going to bring him into this?
DINISHA
I’m going to call whoever I want.
SCENE 4 — SHAYLA MAKES THE CALL
Shayla quietly steps into another room.
She opens her contacts.
ANTHONY.
ANTHONY
Hello?
SHAYLA
Anthony, don’t ask questions. Just listen.
ANTHONY
Shayla? What’s happening?
SHAYLA
I’m at the house. Wayne is here with Dinisha.
ANTHONY
What did he do?
SHAYLA
I recorded everything.
ANTHONY
Send me the video.
SHAYLA
I’m sending it now.
She sends the recording.
SCENE 5 — THE MESSAGE
Anthony’s phone vibrates.
He opens the video.
His expression changes immediately.
ANTHONY
Wayne…
He grabs his jacket.
ANTHONY
What have you done?
SCENE 6 — DINISHA STANDS HER GROUND
Back inside the house.
DINISHA
What?
WAYNE
Nothing.
DINISHA
Then move.
Wayne doesn’t answer.
DINISHA
Somewhere you aren’t.
Dinisha takes a deep breath.
You don’t get to decide where I go.
SCENE 7 — THE DOORBELL
Suddenly…
DING-DONG.
Everyone freezes.
KNOCK. KNOCK.
WAYNE
Who is that?
DINISHA
I think you know.
Shayla looks down at her phone.
ANTHONY: I’M HERE.
SCENE 8 — THE TRUTH COMES OUT
The front door opens.
Anthony stands outside.
ANTHONY
Wayne.
WAYNE
This isn’t your business.
ANTHONY
It became my business when Shayla showed me the recording.
Wayne looks toward Shayla.
WAYNE
You recorded me?
SHAYLA
Yes. Every word.
Anthony looks at Shayla.
ANTHONY
Keep that recording safe.
SHAYLA
I already sent a copy.
ANTHONY
To who?
Shayla’s phone suddenly vibrates.
She looks at the screen.
UNKNOWN NUMBER
“You shouldn’t have recorded that.”

Everyone goes silent.
Shayla’s hands begin to shake.
ANTHONY
Who else knows?
No one answers.
The camera slowly moves toward the dark window.
Outside, across the street, a car is parked with its headlights off.
Someone is sitting inside.
Watching the house.
