Shayla had been trying to keep her evening peaceful. After everything she had experienced with Imani, she needed some time away from arguments, pressure, and emotional drama. She wanted a night where she could simply relax and enjoy herself.

That was when Chadwick invited her to dinner. At first, Shayla hesitated. She knew people might misunderstand them, especially because her history with Imani was still complicated.
