The Shepherd Lauren Was Hiding… 😱💔

Wayne thought he was simply asking Lauren a question… but the answer opened a mystery he never expected.

The Strange Evening

Wayne never expected a simple conversation with Lauren to end with him questioning everything he thought he knew.

It started on a quiet evening at Wayne’s house. The atmosphere felt strangely tense. Lauren was sitting in the living room, acting completely normal, but Wayne could tell something was different.

She kept checking her phone. Every few minutes, she would look at the screen, type something, and quickly put the phone away whenever Wayne looked in her direction.

“Lauren, what’s going on?” Wayne asked.
“Nothing. Why?”

Wayne shook his head.

“Because you’ve been acting strange all evening.”

Lauren smiled nervously.

“I’m just tired.”

Wayne didn’t believe her. There had already been too many secrets, too many half-truths, and too many situations where Lauren seemed to know more than she was willing to admit.

Who Is Your Shepherd?

Then Wayne remembered something someone had told him earlier.

“Don’t trust what Lauren tells you. Ask her who her shepherd is.”

At the time, Wayne thought it sounded ridiculous. Now, he wasn’t so sure.

“Okay. Then answer one question for me.”
“What?”
“Who is your shepherd?”

The smile disappeared from Lauren’s face.

For several seconds, she said nothing. Wayne noticed the sudden change in her expression.

“Why did you go quiet?”

Lauren slowly stood up.

“You wouldn’t understand.”
“Then explain it to me.”
“I can’t.”
“Can’t or won’t?”

Lauren grabbed her purse.

“I think I should leave.”
“Maybe you should.”

Lauren looked surprised.

“You’re really sending me away?”
“I think it’s better this way.”

Lauren stared at him for a moment. Then she walked toward the door.

“You’re making a mistake, Wayne.”

Wayne remained silent.

“You think you’re sending me away…”
“…but you have no idea what you’re sending me back to.”

Wayne’s expression changed.

“What does that mean?”
“You’ll find out.”

The Unknown Number

Lauren walked away. Wayne closed the door behind her. For a moment, everything was quiet.

He thought the situation was finally over. But only a few seconds later, his phone buzzed.

Unknown Number
You just sent Lauren away.
Now she’s coming back to me.

Wayne’s stomach dropped.

Who is this?
You asked Lauren who her shepherd was.
You should have asked her why she needed one.

Wayne stared at the screen. He called the number. It went straight to voicemail.

The Envelope

Meanwhile, Lauren was walking down the street, holding her phone tightly. Her phone began ringing.

A deep voice spoke on the other end.

“Did Wayne let you go?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”
“What happens now?”
“Now you bring me what you promised.”

Lauren stopped walking.

“I told you I don’t have it.”
“You do.”
“Where?”
“You already know.”

The call ended.

Lauren quickly opened her purse and searched through it. Nothing.

Then she remembered something.

Earlier that evening, Wayne had accidentally handed her an envelope. Lauren had placed it inside her purse without opening it.

She pulled it out. Her hands began shaking.

Inside was a small photograph and a handwritten note.

“Ask Wayne what happened that night.”

Lauren looked at the photograph. Her face went pale.

It was a picture of Wayne standing beside someone he hadn’t seen in years.

Someone Lauren had never mentioned.

“What are you hiding, Wayne?”

Someone Is Watching

Back at Wayne’s house, another message arrived. This time, it contained a photograph.

Wayne opened it.

It was Lauren standing outside his house. The picture had been taken only minutes earlier.

Wayne looked toward the window. There was nobody outside.

You’re not being watched by Lauren.
You’re being watched because of Lauren.

Wayne immediately locked the doors. He checked the windows. Nothing.

Then he noticed something strange.

The envelope he had given Lauren earlier was still sitting on his table.

Wayne slowly walked toward it and opened it.

There was another photograph inside.

This one showed a much younger Wayne. Beside him was the same mysterious person from Lauren’s photograph.

“I thought you were gone…”

Three Knocks

Wayne’s phone rang. It was Lauren.

“Lauren, where are you?”
“Wayne, listen to me carefully.”
“What happened?”
“Don’t trust anyone who comes to your house tonight.”
“Why?”
“Because they already know you sent me away.”
“Who are you talking about?”

Lauren hesitated.

“My shepherd.”

The call suddenly disconnected.

Wayne tried calling back. Nothing.

Then came three slow knocks at the front door.

Knock.
Knock.
Knock.

Wayne stood completely still.

Open the door, Wayne.
You wanted to know who Lauren’s shepherd is.
So why are you afraid to meet him?

The Voice From The Past

Wayne slowly walked toward the door. His hand reached for the lock.

But before he could open it, he heard a familiar voice from the other side.
