“I wouldn’t be calling you if I wasn’t serious. I’m sending you the location. Come here and see for yourself.”

Lauren still struggled to believe it. Part of her wanted to trust Wayne, but another part of her couldn’t ignore what Shayla was telling her.

A short time later, Lauren arrived.

Shayla met her outside and quietly explained what she had seen.

“Don’t rush in,” Shayla told her. “Just watch first. You need to know exactly what’s happening.”

Lauren nodded, trying to control her emotions.

“Wayne, you brought her here. You knew exactly what this would look like. How could you do this while being with me?”

Wayne remained silent for a moment.

That silence only made Lauren angrier.

“Do you have anything to say?”

Wayne finally opened his mouth, but before he could explain himself, D’Nisha stepped forward.

“Lauren, please. You’re misunderstanding the situation.”
“Then explain it,” Lauren demanded. “Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you and Wayne have been hiding something from me.”

Wayne looked at D’Nisha.

D’Nisha looked back at Wayne.
