SCENE 1 — MORNING — LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE

Soft morning light enters the bedroom through the curtains. Bethany slowly wakes up and notices Larry standing beside the bed.

Larry pauses at the doorway.

He walks out. Bethany remains sitting on the bed, staring at the empty doorway.

SCENE 2 — OUTSIDE — LARRY’S CAR

Larry walks toward his car carrying his belongings.

He places the bag inside and sits behind the wheel.

For several seconds, he does not start the engine. He looks through the windshield, thinking about everything that has happened.

I just want a fresh start.

Larry starts the car. He drives away from the house.

SCENE 3 — AFTERNOON — SHARRA’S HOUSE

Sharra is inside her home when she hears a knock at the door.

She opens it. Her expression immediately changes when she sees Larry standing outside.

Larry? What are you doing here?

Larry gives her a serious look.

I came because I need to talk to you.

Sharra steps aside and lets him enter. They sit down in the living room.

Sharra notices the sadness in his face.

Something happened, didn’t it?

Larry nods.

I made a difficult decision today.

Sharra waits silently.

Bethany and I are divorced.

Sharra looks surprised.

You divorced Bethany?

Yes.

He lowers his eyes for a moment.

Larry stands at the front, waiting.

The doors open. Sharra walks inside wearing an elegant wedding dress.

Larry looks at her with a warm smile.

Sharra walks toward him. They stand facing each other.

The ceremony begins.

Larry and Sharra, today you are choosing to begin a new chapter together.

Do you, Larry, take Sharra as your wife?

I do.

And do you, Sharra, take Larry as your husband?

Sharra smiles.

I do.

Larry carefully places the wedding ring on Sharra’s finger.

Sharra looks down at the ring with an emotional smile.

She then places a ring on Larry’s finger.

They look at each other.

I now pronounce you husband and wife.

The guests applaud. Larry and Sharra smile as they begin their new life together.

SCENE 5 — NIGHT — WEDDING RECEPTION

Music fills the reception hall.

Larry and Sharra stand together among their family and friends.

They look happier than they have in a long time.

Larry looks at Sharra.

Thank you for giving me another chance at happiness.

Sharra smiles.

Everyone deserves a chance to start again.

Larry nods.

They look around the beautifully decorated venue.
