Scene 1 — The Desperate Call

Shayla sits alone, emotionally overwhelmed and unable to control her tears. After thinking about everything that has happened, she finally picks up her phone and calls Anthony.

Anthony answers and immediately notices that something is wrong. Shayla struggles to explain herself over the phone, so Anthony asks her to meet him in person.

Scene 2 — Shayla Meets Anthony

A short while later, Shayla arrives to meet Anthony. The moment she sees him, she walks straight toward him and suddenly wraps her arms around him.

She breaks down crying uncontrollably.

Anthony looks completely confused and concerned. He gently holds her and asks:

But Shayla can barely speak. Instead, she cries even harder.

Scene 3 — Anthony Tries to Calm Her Down

Anthony keeps trying to comfort her.

He helps her sit down and gives her some water. Shayla takes a few sips while wiping away her tears, but she still looks completely devastated.

Scene 4 — “Tell Me What Happened”

After giving her some time, Anthony looks at her seriously.

Shayla looks down, takes a deep breath, and finally begins telling Anthony everything that has happened.

Her voice keeps breaking as she explains how everything she thought was going to work out has suddenly fallen apart.

Scene 5 — Anthony Is Shocked

Anthony listens without interrupting. At first, he looks genuinely shocked and troubled by what Shayla is telling him.

He never expected to hear this from her.

After a moment of silence, Anthony looks at Shayla and says:

She looks at him through her tears.

Scene 6 — Anthony Mentions Amber

Anthony continues:

Shayla becomes quiet.

Anthony explains that sometimes people don’t realize the consequences of their actions until they experience a similar situation themselves.

Scene 7 — Shayla Suddenly Understands

The words hit Shayla differently.

She stares at Anthony, realizing that she had never looked at the situation from that perspective before.

Her expression changes from confusion to shock. She remembers the things that happened to Amber and begins connecting everything in her mind.

Scene 8 — “Then Why Me?”

Shayla starts crying again.

Through her tears, she looks directly at Anthony and says:

Anthony becomes completely silent. He has no immediate answer.

Scene 9 — Anthony’s Silence

Anthony looks at Shayla with a heavy, thoughtful expression.

For once, he doesn’t try to argue or defend himself. He simply sits beside her and tries to comfort her.

Shayla continues crying, waiting for an explanation that Anthony doesn’t seem ready—or able—to give.

Scene 10 — A Difficult Truth

Anthony finally says quietly:

Shayla lowers her head.

The conversation has forced her to think about Amber, Anthony, and her own actions in a completely different way.

Scene 11 — No Easy Answer

Shayla wipes her tears and looks at Anthony again.

Anthony gently reassures her, but he doesn’t pretend to have all the answers.

The room falls silent as both of them realize that their past choices may have consequences they can no longer avoid.

Scene 12 — The Question That Changes Everything

Shayla remains beside Anthony, still emotional.

Anthony looks at her, while Shayla seems lost in her thoughts.

For the first time, she isn’t only asking, “Why is this happening to me?”

She’s also beginning to ask: “What did we do to Amber… and was this the consequence we never expected?”
