Bethany, Larry, Jade & Purnell — Cruise Betrayal

Bethany, Larry, Jade & Purnell — A Cruise Trip Full of Betrayal, Jealousy, and Secrets

ONE PROPOSAL, ONE HEARTBROKEN WOMAN, AND ONE BROTHER’S SECRET PLAN COULD DESTROY EVERYTHING.

What was supposed to be a romantic cruise filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories was about to become a nightmare. Bethany had no idea that the man she was desperately trying to hold on to was slowly falling for another woman.

Even worse, Larry’s own brother, Purnell, had deliberately brought Jade on the trip to create trouble between them. But when Bethany finally witnessed Larry attempting to propose to Jade, the truth exploded in the most unexpected way.

And what happened next threatened to change all four of their lives forever.

SCENE 1 — THE CRUISE BEGINS

The sun shines over the sparkling ocean as a luxurious cruise ship prepares to leave the harbor. Passengers laugh, take photographs, and settle into their cabins.

Bethany stands beside Larry, holding his hand and hoping this trip will bring them closer together.

BETHANY: Larry, isn’t this beautiful? I was hoping we could spend some real time together without all the distractions.

LARRY: Yeah, it looks nice.

Larry barely looks at her. His attention is fixed on his phone, and Bethany’s smile slowly fades.

BETHANY: That’s all you have to say? We’ve been talking about this trip for weeks. I thought you would be excited to spend time with me.

LARRY: Can we not start arguing already? We just got here.

Bethany explains that she only wants to enjoy the trip with her boyfriend. Larry sighs and walks toward the railing, leaving her alone.

Across the deck, Purnell observes the exchange with a satisfied expression.

PURNELL: This trip is going to be interesting. Let’s see how long Bethany can keep Larry interested in her.

Purnell sends a message. Moments later, Jade appears near the entrance to the main deck, pulling a small suitcase behind her.

PURNELL: Jade! You made it.

JADE: Of course. You said this trip would be fun, so I figured, why not?

PURNELL: Trust me. You’re going to have a great time.

Purnell glances toward Larry, who immediately recognizes Jade. Larry’s expression changes, and Bethany notices his reaction without understanding why.

SCENE 2 — AN UNEXPECTED REUNION

Jade walks toward Larry with a bright smile.

JADE: Larry? Is that really you?

LARRY: Jade! Wow, I wasn’t expecting to see you here.

They embrace warmly. Bethany watches from a short distance away.

JADE: It’s been such a long time. How have you been?

LARRY: I’ve been good. Better now that I see a familiar face.

JADE: You haven’t changed at all.

LARRY: Neither have you.

Their conversation flows naturally, filled with memories and inside jokes that Bethany cannot understand.

LARRY: Jade, this is Bethany.

JADE: Hi, Bethany. It’s nice to meet you.

BETHANY: Nice to meet you too.

Jade explains that she and Larry go way back and have countless memories together.

BETHANY: That’s nice. I guess there’s a lot I don’t know about him.

LARRY: We were just catching up. There’s nothing to worry about.

BETHANY: I didn’t say there was.

Purnell joins them, pretending to be innocent.

PURNELL: Look at this! Everybody’s together already. I knew bringing Jade along was a good idea.

BETHANY: You invited Jade?

PURNELL: Yeah. Why? Is there a problem?

Bethany hides her discomfort. Behind Purnell’s smile, however, is a deliberate plan: make Bethany insecure, distract Larry, and destroy their relationship.

SCENE 3 — BETHANY TRIES TO SAVE HER RELATIONSHIP

Later that afternoon, Bethany finds Larry sitting alone near the pool. She brings him a drink and sits beside him.

BETHANY: I was thinking we could have dinner together tonight. Just you and me, somewhere quiet where we can actually talk.

LARRY: I don’t know. Jade mentioned that she wanted to check out one of the restaurants.

Bethany looks at him in disbelief.

BETHANY: You can spend time with Jade anytime. I thought this trip was supposed to be about us.

LARRY: Why do you always make everything a competition?

BETHANY: Because lately, it feels like I’m competing for your attention!

Larry looks away. Bethany asks whether she has done something wrong and begs him to tell her what he needs.

LARRY: No. I’m just tired of having the same conversations over and over.

BETHANY: I’m trying to make this work, Larry. Please, just talk to me.

His phone buzzes. A message from Jade appears on the screen. Larry immediately stands.

LARRY: I have to go. I’ll see you later.

BETHANY: Larry, wait!

But Larry is already walking away. Bethany remains seated, holding the untouched drink.

BETHANY: How can someone say they love you and make you feel so alone?

From a nearby doorway, Purnell watches the scene unfold.

PURNELL: Exactly what I wanted.

SCENE 4 — JADE AND LARRY GROW CLOSER

That evening, golden lights illuminate the deck as Larry and Jade sit together at a table overlooking the dark ocean.

JADE: I honestly can’t believe we’re sitting here together again.

LARRY: Neither can I. Sometimes I think about how different things might have been if we had stayed in touch.

JADE: You disappeared, Larry. You stopped calling and answering my messages. I always wondered why.

LARRY: Life got complicated.

Jade carefully asks whether Bethany is the reason. Larry admits that his relationship has not been easy lately.

LARRY: Sometimes I feel like every conversation becomes a discussion about our relationship.

JADE: Maybe she just wants to know where she stands with you.

Larry is surprised that Jade defends Bethany.

JADE: When somebody cares about you, they want to feel wanted too.

LARRY: You always understood me.

JADE: Maybe because I knew you before everything became so complicated.

They exchange a long look. Larry gently touches Jade’s hand across the table.

At that exact moment, Bethany arrives at the restaurant entrance, hoping to find Larry for dinner. Instead, she sees him laughing with Jade and holding her hand.

BETHANY: So this is where you’ve been.

She turns and walks away before either of them notices her. Inside the restaurant, Larry continues talking, unaware that he has just broken something inside the woman waiting for him.

SCENE 5 — PURNELL’S PLAN TAKES SHAPE

The following morning, Purnell finds Larry standing on the upper deck, looking out at the ocean.

PURNELL: You and Jade seem pretty close these days.

LARRY: She’s an old friend. We have a lot in common.

PURNELL: I’ve seen the way you look at her. You seem happier around Jade than you do around Bethany.

Larry becomes defensive but eventually admits that things have not been right in his relationship for a while.

PURNELL: Maybe it’s time to stop pretending. You deserve somebody who makes you feel alive.

LARRY: And you think that person is Jade?

PURNELL: I’m not telling you what to do. I’m just saying you should follow your heart.

Purnell places a hand on his brother’s shoulder and walks away. Once out of sight, his friendly expression disappears.

PURNELL: Keep thinking about Jade, brother. By the time you realize what’s happening, it’ll be too late.

Meanwhile, Bethany sits inside the cabin, scrolling through photographs of happier moments with Larry. She stops at a picture of them laughing together.

BETHANY: What happened to us?

She puts her phone down and decides to speak to Larry one more time. She deserves honesty, even if the truth hurts.

SCENE 6 — A PROMISE THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING

Later that afternoon, Larry meets Jade in a quiet lounge overlooking the sea. She notices that he seems unusually serious.

JADE: Is everything okay?

LARRY: I’ve been thinking about us. About how comfortable I feel when I’m around you.

JADE: Larry, you’re in a relationship.

LARRY: I know.

Jade warns him to figure out what he wants before bringing her into something complicated.

LARRY: When I’m with you, everything feels simple. I don’t have to explain myself constantly. I can just be me.

JADE: That doesn’t mean you should make a decision without being honest with Bethany.

Larry takes her hand and admits that his feelings have changed.

LARRY: I’m asking for a chance. A chance to see whether what we have could become something real.

JADE: And what exactly are you asking me for?

Jade slowly withdraws her hand, unsure how to respond. She never expected the cruise to become this complicated.

Outside the lounge, Purnell overhears enough to know his plan is working. He sends Larry a message suggesting a private dinner and a grand romantic gestu
