Shayla stands near the center of the room, looking from Iman to Delicia.
Iman and Delicia stand together, clearly united.
Wayne remains a few steps away, watching carefully.

I need to make something clear today.I’m not hiding my decisions from anybody anymore.
SHAYLA
So this is really what you want?
IMAN
Yes.I’ve made my decision, and I’m standing on it.
DELICIA
And Shayla, you need to understand something too.If you keep trying to interfere between me and Iman, this situation is going to become very serious.
Shayla says nothing.
For several seconds, the room becomes completely silent.
Wayne watches Shayla carefully. He can see that she is trying to control her emotions.

Everybody just needs to calm down.Nobody wants this to turn into something bigger than it already is.
SHAYLA
Wayne, I’m calm.I just need one honest answer from you.
SHAYLA
Do you truly see a future with Delicia?
Iman doesn’t answer immediately.
He looks at Delicia. Delicia meets his eyes.

And I’m not going to change my decision just because somebody doesn’t like it.
SCENE 2 — THE WARNING
DELICIA
Shayla, I’m going to say this one more time.Don’t create problems between us again.
SHAYLA
You think you’re going to tell me what I can and can’t say?
DELICIA
No.I’m telling you that there are consequences when people keep crossing boundaries.
WAYNE
Okay.Let’s stop right there.
Everybody needs to watch their words.
SHAYLA
I’m not afraid of anyone.If there’s something people need to know, I’m going to bring the truth out in front of everybody.
IMAN
What truth?
Shayla pauses.

SCENE 3 — WAYNE’S CONCERN

Listen to me.Whatever happened before today, you can’t keep dragging it into every new situation.
IMAN
I understand.But I also need everybody to respect my decision.
WAYNE
That’s fair.But if you know something important, don’t use it just to create another fight.
SHAYLA
Maybe I’m not trying to create a fight.Maybe I’m trying to make sure nobody gets lied to.
DELICIA
Nobody is lying to you.
SHAYLA
We’ll see.
Iman looks frustrated.

IMAN
I don’t understand why she keeps doing this.
DELICIA
Because she hasn’t accepted that you’ve moved on.
IMAN
I can’t control what she accepts.I can only control what I decide.
WAYNE
That’s true.But you need to understand something.
IMAN
What?
WAYNE
Shayla isn’t walking away from this.She’s preparing for something.
Iman becomes serious.
Delicia remains beside him.

Whatever she says, we’re going to face it together.
IMAN

Wayne watches them.
He wants to believe the situation will settle down.
