💔
BETHANY THREATENS TO LEAVE LARRY AFTER ACCUSING HIM OF CHOOSING SHARRA AND LYNETTE!
😭

✨ WELCOME ✨

Welcome to another emotional episode filled with heartbreak, painful truths, and a marriage hanging by a thread. Bethany has reached her breaking point, and Larry is about to discover that his wife may finally be ready to walk away.

💔

SCENE 1: BETHANY CONFRONTS LARRY

INT. LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE — LIVING ROOM — EVENING

The living room is quiet. Larry sits on the couch looking at his phone when Bethany approaches him. Her eyes are filled with disappointment, and her voice trembles as she prepares to speak.

BETHANY:
Larry, I’m your wife, but you barely spend any time with me anymore. We live under the same roof, yet I feel completely alone. When was the last time you actually made me feel loved?
LARRY:
Bethany, I come home every day. I don’t understand why you keep saying that I don’t care about you.
BETHANY:
Because coming home isn’t enough! I want a husband who wants to spend time with me, who plans things with me, and who makes me feel like I’m important in his life.

Larry puts his phone down and sighs. He can already tell that this conversation is heading somewhere painful.

😢

SCENE 2: THE SURGERY AND THE PAINFUL MEMORIES

Bethany takes a seat across from Larry. She looks down for a moment before gathering the courage to tell him what has been hurting her.

BETHANY:
Do you remember how you used to talk about my weight? Those comments hurt me more than you realize. I started feeling like I wasn’t good enough for you.
LARRY:
I never wanted you to feel that way. That wasn’t my intention.
BETHANY:
But that’s exactly how you made me feel! I even went through surgery, hoping things between us would improve. I wanted to feel confident, and I hoped you would start paying attention to me again. But Larry, nothing changed!

Her eyes fill with tears. Larry looks down, realizing that the issue goes deeper than he thought.

BETHANY:
I shouldn’t have felt that I needed to change myself to earn your attention. I wanted love from my husband, not another reason to question my worth.
LARRY:
Bethany, you shouldn’t have felt that you needed to do anything like that for me. I don’t want you to think your worth depends on my attention.

Bethany shakes her head, still unconvinced that Larry understands her pain.

🔥

SCENE 3: SHARRA AND LYNETTE ENTER THE ARGUMENT

Bethany stands up and begins pacing around the room. Her frustration finally spills over as she brings up the two women she believes receive more of Larry’s attention.

BETHANY:
Tell me the truth, Larry. Are you more interested in Sharra and Lynette than you are in your own wife?
LARRY:
What are you talking about? They’re my friends. Why do you always turn everything into a competition?
BETHANY:
Because I see how happy you are around them! You laugh with them, make plans with them, and seem excited whenever they call. But when I ask you to do something with me, you suddenly have a hundred excuses!
LARRY:
I don’t agree with everything you’re saying. I can have friendships without it meaning something is wrong with our marriage.
BETHANY:
I’m not telling you that you can’t have friends! I’m telling you that your wife deserves attention too. Whenever I suggest a trip, you don’t want to go. But if Sharra or Lynette asks, you are ready immediately!

Larry stands up, becoming defensive. Bethany stares at him, waiting for an answer that might finally make sense.

LARRY:
You make it sound like I never do anything for you. That’s not fair, Bethany.
BETHANY:
And you make it sound like my feelings don’t matter! I’m not asking you to abandon anybody. I’m asking you to stop making me feel like I’m last on your list.
💢

SCENE 4: BETHANY ASKS FOR A DIVORCE

The room falls silent. Bethany wipes her tears and looks at Larry with a mixture of anger and exhaustion.

BETHANY:
I’m tired, Larry. I’m tired of asking for attention, tired of explaining why I’m hurt, and tired of feeling unwanted in my own marriage. If you don’t want me anymore, just let me go.
LARRY:
Bethany, don’t say that. We can work through our problems. You don’t have to talk about ending our marriage.
BETHANY:
Then give me a divorce! You can spend all the time you want with Sharra and Lynette. Go on trips with them, laugh with them, and live however you want. I don’t want to keep begging you to act like my husband.

Larry looks stunned. He never expected the argument to reach this point.

LARRY:
A divorce? Do you really want to throw away our marriage over this?
BETHANY:
This isn’t just about one argument! It’s about how I’ve felt for a long time. I can’t keep pretending that everything is fine when I’m miserable.
LARRY:
I still care about you, Bethany. I like being with you, but sometimes the way you talk to me makes it difficult for us to communicate.
BETHANY:
So now my reaction is the problem? What about everything that made me react this way in the first place?
🧳

SCENE 5: BETHANY HEADS FOR THE DOOR

INT. BEDROOM AND FRONT HALL — NIGHT

Bethany walks into the bedroom and returns a few minutes later with a suitcase and handbag. Larry watches her in disbelief as she heads toward the front door.

LARRY:
Bethany, where are you going with that suitcase?
BETHANY:
I’m leaving. I need to get away from this situation because I can’t keep living like this.
LARRY:
Please don’t do this. We can sit down and talk. You don’t need to leave the house tonight.
BETHANY:
I’ve tried talking to you so many times. You only seem to understand how serious things are when I’m finally ready to walk away!

Larry follows her into the hallway. He reaches for her hand, hoping she will stop long enough to hear him out.

LARRY:
Please, Bethany. Give me another chance. I know I haven’t always made you feel appreciated, but I don’t want to lose you.
BETHANY:
Why should I believe you now? You have said you care before, but I still feel alone. I need more than words, Larry.
😭

SCENE 6: LARRY MAKES ONE LAST PLEA

Bethany reaches the door with her suitcase beside her. Larry stands in front of her, his voice softer than before.

LARRY:
I’m sorry that I’ve made you feel unimportant. I should have listened instead of getting defensive. I should have made more time for us. I’m asking you to stay so we can try to fix this together.
BETHANY:
I don’t need a promise you make because you’re scared I’m leaving. I need to see real changes. I need a husband who chooses to spend time with me without me having to beg.
LARRY:
I understand. I don’t want our marriage to end. You matter to me, Bethany, even if I haven’t shown it the way you needed.

Bethany looks into his eyes. For a brief moment, she hesitates, but the pain of their repeated arguments remains fresh in her mind.

BETHANY:
If I stay, things have to change. I can’t be the only one fighting for this marriage anymore.
LARRY:
Then let’s start by listening to each other. Please don’t make this decision while we’re both upset.

Bethany opens the door. Larry reaches toward her hand, but he does not force her to stay. He watches anxiously as she steps outside with her suitcase.

LARRY:
Bethany, are you really not coming back?
BETHANY:
I don’t know, Larry. I need to think about my future and what I really want from this marriage.

Bethany walks away. Larry remains at the doorway, realizing that his wife’s decision may change their lives forever. The door slowly closes, leaving him alone with the consequences of their argument.

💔 TO BE CONTINUED… 💔

Will Larry be able to win Bethany back, or will she finally choose to end their marriage? And will Sharra and Lynette become part of the next confrontation?
