THE REVENGE
PART 1 — A Love Story That Turns Into a Nightmare
Scene 1 — The Night Everything Changed
ANTHONY:
“Denisha, I promise you, nothing in this world will ever come between us. You are the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
Anthony gently held Denisha’s hands. Her eyes filled with happiness as she looked at the engagement ring on her finger.
DENISHA:
“And I promise you, Anthony, I will stand beside you through every storm. No matter what happens, I will never stop loving you.”
Anthony smiled and kissed her forehead.
For Denisha, the future seemed perfect. She had found the man she loved, and their wedding was only weeks away.
But neither of them knew that someone was already planning to destroy everything they had built. Someone who believed that Denisha had stolen the happiness that once belonged to her.
And that person was Sheila, Anthony’s ex-girlfriend.
Scene 2 — Sheila’s Jealousy
Late that evening, Sheila stood beside a bedroom window, staring at a photograph of Anthony and Denisha. Her fingers tightened around the phone as she zoomed in on Denisha’s engagement ring.
Chadwick sat on the edge of the bed, watching her silently.
CHADWICK:
“You have been looking at that photograph for almost an hour. Tell me what is going on inside your head.”
Sheila turned toward him. Her expression was filled with jealousy and anger.
SHEILA:
“Look at her. She is smiling as if she has won some kind of prize. Anthony promised me a future, Chadwick. He told me he loved me. And now he is preparing to marry her as if I never existed.”
CHADWICK:
“Anthony made his choice. Why are you still allowing him to control your emotions?”
Sheila let out a bitter laugh.
SHEILA:
“Because I refuse to let him be happy while I am left with nothing. He walked away from me, and Denisha got everything I ever wanted.”
Chadwick slowly stood up and approached her.
CHADWICK:
“So, what exactly do you want to do?”
Sheila looked directly into his eyes.
SHEILA:
“I want Anthony to regret the day he ever met Denisha. I want him to look at her and see a liar. I want her friends to turn against her. I want her wedding cancelled, her reputation destroyed, and her life reduced to nothing.”
Chadwick studied her face for a moment. Then a faint smile appeared on his lips.
CHADWICK:
“Then we will not attack her with anger. We will attack her with doubt.”
SHEILA:
“What do you mean?”
CHADWICK:
“We will make Anthony believe that the woman he loves has been deceiving him from the very beginning. And when he starts questioning her, we will give him a reason to walk away.”
Sheila’s expression changed. For the first time that night, she smiled.
SHEILA:
“And what if he refuses to believe us?”
CHADWICK:
“Everyone believes something when the evidence looks real enough.”
Neither of them noticed the small detail that would later threaten their entire plan. A second phone lay hidden beneath a pile of clothes on the chair. Its screen suddenly lit up.
A message appeared: “IS THE PLAN STILL ON FOR TOMORROW?”
Scene 3 — A Perfect Morning
The following morning, sunlight filled Anthony’s bedroom. He sat on the edge of his bed, smiling as he looked at the engagement ring in a photograph Denisha had sent him the previous evening.
He called her. No answer. He tried again. Still nothing.
Anthony frowned and sent her a message.
ANTHONY:
“Good morning, beautiful. Call me when you wake up. We need to finalize the wedding arrangements today.”
He waited for a few minutes. Nothing. He called a third time. This time, the phone rang longer than before, but Denisha still did not answer.
ANTHONY:
“Denisha, please pick up. You know I worry when you disappear without telling me.”
He grabbed his keys and stood up. Before he could leave, his phone vibrated. It was a message from an unknown number.
“STOP CALLING HER. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE ABOUT TO MARRY.”
Anthony stared at the screen. A second message followed immediately.
“IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN.”
His heart began to beat faster.
Scene 4 — The Unknown Room
Denisha slowly regained consciousness. Her head hurt, and the air around her smelled damp and unfamiliar. She tried to move, but her hands were tied behind a chair. A blindfold covered her eyes.
DENISHA:
“Hello? Is anybody there?”
Her voice echoed through the empty room. She pulled against the ropes, but they only tightened around her wrists.
DENISHA:
“Please! Somebody help me! I don’t know where I am!”
Footsteps approached. The door opened with a slow creak. Denisha froze as someone moved around her.
CHADWICK:
“You should stop shouting. Nobody is coming to save you.”
Denisha’s breathing became uneven.
DENISHA:
“Who are you? What do you want from me? Please, I have done nothing wrong!”
Chadwick removed the blindfold. Denisha blinked repeatedly as her eyes adjusted to the dim light. When she finally recognized him, her face went pale.
DENISHA:
“Chadwick? What are you doing here? Why have you tied me up?”
Chadwick pulled a chair closer and sat directly in front of her.
CHADWICK:
“Because your happiness has become a problem for someone I care about.”
DENISHA:
“What does that mean?”
CHADWICK:
“Sheila.”
Denisha stared at him in disbelief.
DENISHA:
“What does Sheila have to do with any of this? Anthony ended their relationship before he proposed to me. I never forced him to leave her!”
Chadwick’s jaw tightened.
CHADWICK:
“You may believe that. But Sheila believes you took the life she was supposed to have.”
DENISHA:
“That is not my fault! I fell in love with Anthony. I never asked him to hurt anyone.”
Chadwick stood up abruptly.
CHADWICK:
“Love? You think love is going to protect you now?”
He stepped toward the door.
CHADWICK:
“By the time I finish with you, Anthony will never want to hear your name again.”
Denisha struggled against the ropes.
DENISHA:
“Anthony will find me! He knows me. He will never believe your lies!”
Chadwick stopped at the doorway.
CHADWICK:
“That is exactly what we are going to test.”
He left the room and locked the door behind him. Denisha was alone again. Tears rolled down her cheeks.
DENISHA:
“Anthony, please. Wherever you are, please find me.”
Scene 5 — The Photograph
Anthony stood in his living room, staring at his phone. The unknown sender had sent another message. This time, there was an attachment.
He opened it. The photograph showed Denisha sitting closely beside an unfamiliar man in what appeared to be a hotel room. The man’s hand rested on her shoulder, and Denisha appeared to be smiling.
Anthony’s fingers went cold. He zoomed in on the photograph. The woman’s face looked exactly like Denisha. The necklace around her neck was the same one he had given her on her birthday.
ANTHONY:
“No. This cannot be real.”
He looked at the photograph again. A message appeared beneath it.
“SHE HAS BEEN MEETING HIM FOR MONTHS. ASK HER WHERE SHE GOES WHEN SHE SAYS SHE IS BUSY.”
Anthony shook his head.
ANTHONY:
“I know Denisha. She would never do this to me.”
But the sender had anticipated his reaction. Another photograph arrived. This one showed Denisha standing outside the same building, apparently holding hands with the mysterious man.
Anthony felt as though the room were closing in around him. His phone rang. The unknown number was calling. He answered immediately.
ANTHONY:
“Who is this? Where did you get these photographs?”
UNKNOWN CALLER:
“If you really want to know the truth about your future wife, stop defending her and start asking questions.”
ANTHONY:
“Tell me where she is!”
UNKNOWN CALLER:
“You should be more worried about what she has been hiding from you.”
The call ended. Anthony stared at his phone, torn between fear and disbelief.
Then he noticed something strange. The second photograph appeared to have been taken at night, but the shadow falling across Denisha’s face looked almost identical to the shadow in the first photograph. He zoomed in again. For a moment, he wondered whether someone had edited the images.
Before he could examine them further, his phone rang again. This time, it was Sheila.
SHEILA:
“Anthony? I heard something terrible has happened. Are you okay?”
Anthony hesitated.
ANTHONY:
“How did you know something had happened?”
There was a brief silence.
SHEILA:
“I was just calling to check on you. You sound upset. Is everything all right with Denisha?”
Anthony’s eyes narrowed.
ANTHONY:
“Why are you asking about Denisha?”
SHEILA:
“Because I still care about you, Anthony. Even if you don’t believe that anymore.”
Anthony ended the call without answering. He had not told Sheila about the photographs. So why had she called at that exact moment?
Scene 6 — The Woman Behind the Door
Back in the unfamiliar room, Denisha heard the door unlock. Chadwick entered, holding a glass of water and a mobile phone. He placed the glass on a small table.
CHADWICK:
“Your fiancé has seen the photographs.”
Denisha looked up sharply.
DENISHA:
“What photographs?”
Chadwick turned the phone toward her. Her face drained of color. She recognized the clothes she was wearing in the images, but she had never seen the man standing beside her.
DENISHA:
“This is fake! I have never met that man!”
CHADWICK:
“Then you had better hope Anthony believes you.”
DENISHA:
“Please, let me call him. I can explain everything.”
Chadwick shook his head.
CHADWICK:
“Your explanations will not matter if he has already made up his mind.”
Denisha stared at the photographs, desperately searching for something that could prove they were false. Then she noticed a small detail in the background of the second image.
A framed picture hung on the wall behind her. She had seen that picture before. Not in a hotel. Not in a stranger’s house. But in a photograph Sheila had posted online several months earlier.
Denisha’s eyes widened.
DENISHA:
“Wait. I know that room.”
Chadwick’s expression changed.
CHADWICK:
“What did you say?”
DENISHA:
“That picture on the wall. I have seen it before. It belongs to Sheila!”
For the first time, Chadwick looked genuinely unsettled.
Denisha leaned forward as far as the ropes allowed.
DENISHA:
“You used Sheila’s house to create these photographs, didn’t you? She is involved in this!”
Chadwick snatched the phone away.
CHADWICK:
“You know nothing.”
DENISHA:
“Then why are you afraid of what I just said?”
Chadwick stared at her for several seconds. His silence frightened her more than his threats.
Suddenly, a phone began ringing in his pocket. He answered.
SHEILA:
“Tell me you have taken care of everything.”
CHADWICK:
“We have a problem. Denisha recognized the room in the photographs.”
Sheila went silent.
SHEILA:
“What? How is that possible?”
CHADWICK:
“She knows the pict
