Brooke had reached a point where she felt she needed some space from everything happening at home. Without telling anyone exactly where she was going, she quietly made her way to Cameron’s house. She wasn’t sure how Cameron’s parents would react when they saw her at their door, especially since she had arrived unexpectedly.

When Cameron’s parents realized how upset Brooke was, they decided not to turn her away.

Brooke was relieved. For the first time in what felt like forever, she didn’t have to worry about another argument or someone demanding answers from her.

Cameron welcomed her inside and tried to make her feel comfortable. As the day went on, Brooke slowly began to relax. She spent time talking with Cameron, watching shows, and playing games with him.

Brooke smiled slightly. “I really needed this,” she admitted.

That evening, Cameron and Brooke continued spending time together. They laughed, played games, and tried to forget about the drama waiting for them outside the house.

For Brooke, it almost felt like she had finally found a safe place where nobody was judging her.

But the peaceful night wouldn’t last. The next morning, Brooke woke up and immediately noticed that her phone was filled with missed calls.

It was Sharra. Call after call kept appearing on the screen. Brooke stared at the phone but didn’t answer.

She put the phone down, hoping the situation would somehow calm down.

Meanwhile, Sharra was becoming increasingly frustrated. After calling Brooke repeatedly without getting an answer, she started trying to figure out where Brooke had gone.

Eventually, Sharra and Larry learned that Brooke was staying at Cameron’s house.

Sharra and Larry quickly made their way to Cameron’s house. Brooke had no idea they were already on their way.

She was sitting quietly when she suddenly heard someone at the door.

Before he could say anything else, the door opened and Sharra walked inside.

The moment Sharra saw Brooke, her anger returned.

Brooke immediately stood up. “Mom…”

Sharra demanded to know why Brooke had disappeared, ignored her calls, and stayed at Cameron’s house without telling anyone.

Brooke tried to explain, “I just needed some time away.”

But Sharra was still furious. The argument quickly escalated, and Brooke stepped backward, asking her mother not to turn the situation into another fight.

Sharra became so angry that she raised her hand toward Brooke. Before anything could happen, Cameron’s father immediately stepped between them and stopped her.

Sharra stared at him in disbelief.

He answered calmly, “And I understand that. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to put their hands on her.”

Brooke stood behind him, visibly shaken. Cameron moved closer and quietly reassured her.

Larry finally stepped forward, realizing the situation was getting completely out of control.

Brooke finally explained that she wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. She simply wanted somewhere she could breathe without feeling like everyone was angry with her.

Sharra’s expression changed slightly, but she was still clearly upset.

Brooke nodded. “Maybe I should have. But I was scared that you wouldn’t listen.”
