HOOK

SCENE 1 — LARRY’S HOUSE — AFTERNOON

The house was unusually quiet.

Larry was sitting at the dining table, finishing his meal when someone knocked at the door.

LARRY

“Who is it?”

A familiar voice came from outside.

LYNETTE

“It’s me, Lynette.”

Larry froze for a moment. He slowly got up and opened the door.

LARRY

“Lynette? What are you doing here?”

LYNETTE

“I need to talk to Bethany.”

Larry immediately became concerned.

LARRY

“About what?”

LYNETTE

“About Brooke.”

Larry sighed. He already knew this conversation wasn’t going to be easy.

SCENE 2 — DINING ROOM

Bethany was sitting at the table when Lynette walked inside.

The two women stared at each other.

There was an uncomfortable silence.

BETHANY

“So… what exactly did you come here to say?”

LYNETTE

“I just want to talk.”

BETHANY

“Then talk.”

Lynette took a breath.

LYNETTE

“I feel like you’re slowly pushing me away from Brooke.”

BETHANY

“I’m not pushing you away from anyone.”

LYNETTE

“Then why does Brooke barely talk to me anymore?”

Bethany leaned back in her chair.

BETHANY

“Maybe you should ask yourself that question.”

Lynette’s eyes narrowed.

LYNETTE

“You keep acting like I’m the reason you and Brooke aren’t close.”

BETHANY

“I’m not the one creating this problem.”

SCENE 3 — THE ACCUSATIONS

Lynette slowly stood from her chair.

LYNETTE

“You think that gives you the right to decide who Brooke can love?”

BETHANY

“No. But I have every right to protect her.”

Lynette shook her head.

LYNETTE

“You’ve been turning her against me.”

BETHANY

“That’s not true.”

LYNETTE

“Then why does she repeat everything you say?”

BETHANY

“Because Brooke has a mind of her own!”

Larry stepped between them.

LARRY

“Both of you. Enough.”

Neither woman listened.

BETHANY

“You’re the one creating this problem. You keep trying to come between me and Brooke.”

LYNETTE

“And you’re trying to erase me from her life.”

BETHANY

“You’re doing that yourself!”

Larry suddenly slammed his hand against the table.

LARRY

“STOP!”

SCENE 4 — THE BREAKING POINT

The room suddenly became silent.

LYNETTE

“Don’t you ever tell me that I don’t matter to Brooke.”

BETHANY

“Then stop acting like you own her.”

Lynette lost her temper and shoved Bethany away.

Larry immediately moved between them.

LARRY

“Lynette! Stop!”

The argument became physical, and Lynette struck Bethany during the struggle.

Bethany stumbled backward, shocked by what had happened.

LARRY

“That’s enough!”

BETHANY

“You actually hit me?”

LYNETTE

“You pushed me too far!”

LARRY

“Both of you need to calm down!”

SCENE 5 — LARRY MAKES A DECISION

The room fell silent.

LARRY

“Lynette, you need to leave.”

LYNETTE

“You’re choosing her again?”

LARRY

“I’m choosing peace.”

Lynette slowly stepped toward the door.

LYNETTE

“This isn’t over.”

Lynette walked outside and disappeared from view.

Larry closed the door and turned around.

LARRY

“Are you okay?”

BETHANY

“I’ll be fine.”

LARRY

“This has gone too far.”

BETHANY

“She won’t stop.”

Larry remained silent.

SCENE 6 — LATER THAT NIGHT

Hours passed.

The house became quiet again.

Bethany sat alone, thinking about everything that had happened.

Then Larry’s phone suddenly rang.

Larry looked at the screen. His expression immediately changed.

BETHANY

“Who is it?”

Larry didn’t answer.

The call ended.

A few seconds later, another message appeared.

Larry opened it.

His face went completely pale.

BETHANY

“Larry… what happened?”

LARRY

“You need to see this.”

Bethany walked toward him.

Larry turned the phone around.

Whatever was on the screen made Bethany’s expression disappear.

Neither of them spoke.

Because the message wasn’t from Lynette.

It was from someone who had been watching everything from the beginning.

And the final sentence left Larry terrified.

“You think Lynette was the problem? You haven’t seen what happens next.”
