Brooke Refuses to Forgive Isaiah After Learning the Truth
BROOKE REFUSES TO FORGIVE ISAIAH AFTER LEARNING THE TRUTH
INT. BROOKE’S LIVING ROOM – LATE AFTERNOON
Warm sunlight shines through the windows.
The house is quiet.
A television plays softly in the background, but no one is watching.
BROOKE sits on the couch, staring at her phone.
Her eyes are red from crying.
She has just discovered that ISAIAH has been staying at Hope and Faith’s house.
The news has shattered what little trust she had left.
She slowly locks her phone and places it on the table.
A long silence fills the room.
DESTINY walks in carrying two cold drinks. She immediately notices Brooke’s expression and quietly sits beside her.
DESTINY
Brooke… Are you okay?
BROOKE
No. I’m done believing his lies. Every single time he promised to change… he was hiding something else.
DESTINY
So it’s true? He’s been living with Hope and Faith?
BROOKE
Yeah. He never thought I’d find out. He looked me in the eyes… and lied without feeling guilty.
Destiny gently places a hand on Brooke’s shoulder.
DESTINY
You deserve better than this. Don’t let him manipulate you again.
Before Brooke can answer— A loud knock echoes through the house. Both girls look toward the front door. Brooke immediately knows who it is. She slowly stands. Her face becomes cold. She walks to the door and opens it.
ISAIAH stands outside. He looks exhausted. His eyes are filled with regret. He takes a nervous breath.
ISAIAH
Brooke… Can we please talk? Just five minutes. That’s all I’m asking.
Brooke doesn’t answer. She simply stares at him. Destiny walks over and stands beside Brooke. She folds her arms. Watching him carefully.
DESTINY
You have a lot of nerve showing up here.
ISAIAH
I know. I made mistakes. But I’m here to apologize. Please… Just hear me out.
BROOKE
Get out. Leave. And don’t ever come back here again. You heard me. Get out of my sight. I don’t want to see you again.
Isaiah slowly turns around. He walks toward the sidewalk. Each step feels heavier than the last. He never looks back. Brooke quietly closes the front door. Destiny hugs Brooke as tears roll down her face.
DESTINY
You did the right thing. It wasn’t easy… but you chose yourself.
BROOKE
I’m done chasing people who don’t value me. From now on… I’m choosing peace.
DESTINY
That’s the Brooke I know.
The two friends walk away from the front door together. The evening sunlight fills the room. Outside— Isaiah disappears down the street alone. Inside— Brooke takes her first step toward a future without him.
FADE OUT.
