Cameron Followed Brooke to Meet Isaiah — Then Everything Exploded

Brooke stared at her phone for several seconds after reading Isaiah’s message. He wanted to meet her tomorrow. After everything that had happened between them, she could not understand why he suddenly wanted to see her.

She immediately called Cameron.

“Cameron, Isaiah wants to meet me tomorrow. I don’t know what I should do.”

Cameron was quiet for a moment before answering.

“No, Brooke. Don’t go.”

Brooke frowned. “Why?”

“Because Isaiah isn’t a good person,” Cameron replied. “He already betrayed you once. What makes you think he won’t do it again? You finally started moving forward, and now he suddenly wants to meet you?”

Brooke lowered her voice. “I know what you’re saying, but I need answers. I can’t keep wondering why he did everything he did.”

“You don’t owe him another chance,” Cameron said firmly.

“I’m not giving him another chance,” Brooke replied. “I just want to hear what he has to say.”

Cameron could tell she had already made up her mind.

“Fine,” he finally said. “If you refuse to stay away, then go. But you’re not going alone. I’ll follow you and stay nearby.”

Brooke hesitated. “Cameron, you don’t have to.”

“Yes, I do. You talk to him, but if he tries to threaten you, blackmail you, or do anything wrong, I’m coming in immediately.”

The next day, Brooke arrived at the place where Isaiah had asked her to meet him. She looked around nervously before spotting him.

Isaiah was standing near the entrance, but he wasn’t alone.

Maria was there.

Brooke immediately recognized her.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

Isaiah finally walked toward Brooke.

“I’m glad you came.”

“I almost didn’t,” Brooke replied.

“Why?”

“Because I don’t know what you want from me.”

Isaiah looked at her carefully. “There are things you need to know.”

Before Brooke could respond, Maria suddenly looked past her. Her eyes stopped on Cameron, who was standing a short distance away.

Maria whispered something to Isaiah.

Isaiah turned around.

The moment he saw Cameron, his expression changed.
“What are you doing here?”

Cameron stepped forward calmly. “I’m here for Brooke.”

Isaiah laughed bitterly. “She needs you to follow her everywhere now?”

“I’m her friend,” Cameron replied. “I’m making sure she’s okay.”

Isaiah stepped closer.

“This has nothing to do with you.”

Cameron didn’t move. “Then there shouldn’t be a problem with me being here.”

The tension between them grew quickly.

Brooke stepped between them.

“Stop it. Both of you.”

Isaiah pointed toward Cameron. “He shouldn’t be here.”

Brooke looked directly at Isaiah.

“He’s my friend. Why are you fighting with him?”

Isaiah stared at her, but instead of calming down, he became even more furious.

“You still don’t understand, do you?” he said.

“Understand what?” Brooke asked.

Isaiah looked toward Maria. Maria suddenly became nervous.

Cameron noticed it immediately.

“Brooke, something isn’t right.”

Isaiah clenched his jaw.

Then he finally said something that made Brooke freeze.

“I didn’t ask you to come here because I wanted to get back together.”

Brooke stared at him.

“Then why did you call me?”

Isaiah looked at Maria, then back at Brooke.

“Because Maria and I found something.”

“What did you find?”

Isaiah reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Before he could show Brooke the screen, Maria suddenly grabbed his arm.

“Isaiah, don’t.”

Brooke’s eyes widened.

Cameron stepped closer.

“What is on that phone?”

Isaiah looked at Brooke with a serious expression.

“The truth about what happened between us.”

Brooke’s heart began pounding.

She had come expecting an apology. Instead, she was about to discover a secret that could change everything she thought she knew about Isaiah, Maria, and even the reason he had betrayed her in the first place.

And Cameron suddenly realized something even more disturbing.

Isaiah hadn’t been afraid of Cameron showing up.
He had been waiting for him to come.
