Wayne’s Shocking Proposal Leaves Omni Speechless

Wayne’s Shocking Proposal Leaves Omni Speechless

The Proposal Nobody Expected

The room was filled with laughter when Wayne suddenly stood up and looked toward Omni.

Omni had no idea what was coming.

She had been sitting quietly, watching everyone enjoy themselves, when Wayne walked across the room and stopped directly in front of her. At first, she smiled because she thought he was about to make another joke.

Then Wayne slowly got down on one knee.

The room went completely silent.

Omni’s smile disappeared.

“Wayne… what are you doing?” she asked nervously.

Wayne pulled out a ring box.

Omni stared at it in disbelief.

“No. No, no, no… this cannot be happening.”

Wayne opened the box.

“Omni, I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I know I’ve disappointed people, walked away from people, and made decisions that nobody expected. But today, I want to make one decision that comes from my heart.”

Omni looked around the room, completely overwhelmed.

“Wayne, get up. Everybody is looking at us.”

Wayne smiled.

“Let them look.”

He took her hand.

“Omni, will you marry me?”

Nobody said a word.

Omni stood frozen.

Her eyes moved from Wayne to the ring and then back to Wayne.

“This is crazy,” she whispered. “You cannot be serious.”

“I’ve never been more serious.”

Omni slowly pulled her hand away.

“I don’t understand. You just… ditched everybody?”

Wayne looked down for a moment.

“I know people are going to be angry. But I wanted to stop pretending that I didn’t know what I wanted.”

Omni shook her head.

“This is too much. I feel so weird right now.”

Wayne stood up.

“You don’t have to answer immediately.”

Omni looked at him.

“Good, because my answer right now is that I think you’re crazy.”

A few people laughed nervously, but Omni didn’t.

She looked genuinely confused.

“I need some air.”

She walked away, leaving Wayne standing there with the ring still in his hand.

Omni Tells Amber How She Really Feels

A few minutes later, Omni was outside, trying to process everything.

Amber found her first.

“Omni?”

Omni turned around.

“I don’t even know what just happened.”

Amber sat beside her.

“He proposed.”

“I KNOW he proposed,” Omni replied. “I’m saying I don’t understand why.”

Amber sighed.

“Wayne has always done things his own way.”

Omni shook her head.

“This isn’t normal. He just ditched everybody and suddenly decided I’m the person he wants to marry?”

Amber looked at her carefully.

“Did you ever think he might actually mean it?”

Omni remained silent.

“I don’t know,” she finally said. “That’s what scares me.”

Amber nodded.

“Then don’t rush your answer.”

Omni looked down at the ring box Wayne had handed her.

“I wasn’t ready for this.”

Dave Confronts Wayne

Inside, Wayne was getting questions from everyone.

Dave crossed his arms.

“Man, what exactly were you thinking?”

Wayne looked at him.

“I was thinking about my life.”

Dave laughed.

“Your life? You just turned the entire room upside down.”

Wayne shook his head.

“I knew people would have something to say.”

Dave stepped closer.

“Wayne, you can’t just abandon everybody whenever something new comes along.”

Wayne’s expression became serious.

“I didn’t abandon anybody.”

“You just ditched everybody for Omni,” Dave replied.

Wayne paused.

“I chose what I wanted.”

Dave shook his head.

“That doesn’t make everything you did right.”

Wayne didn’t answer.

Amber Reveals Her Concerns

Meanwhile, Amber couldn’t stop thinking about the situation.

She found Omni again, and this time Omni looked even more uncomfortable.

“I told you,” Omni said. “Something about this feels strange.”

Amber sat beside her.

“What exactly bothers you?”

Omni took a deep breath.

“Everything happened too fast. One minute we’re talking normally, and the next minute he’s on one knee asking me to marry him.”

Amber nodded.

“And?”

“And I don’t know if he understands what he’s doing.”

Amber looked toward the house.

“That’s Wayne.”

Omni laughed nervously.

“No. This time it’s different.”

“What do you mean?”

Omni lowered her voice.

“I think he wanted to prove something.”

Amber’s expression changed.

“To who?”

“I don’t know.”

Omni looked toward the window.

“But I know Wayne. Something made him make that decision today.”

Amber became quiet.

Omni Faces Everyone

Later that evening, Omni finally decided to talk to everyone.

She walked back into the room.

Everyone immediately turned toward her.

Wayne stood up.

“Are you okay?”

Omni nodded.

“I am now.”

Wayne waited.

Omni looked around.

“I need to say something because I don’t want anybody misunderstanding what happened.”

Wayne remained silent.

“I wasn’t expecting that proposal. I wasn’t prepared for it. And honestly, I felt completely uncomfortable.”

Wayne nodded slowly.

“I understand.”

Omni continued.

“But I also don’t want people thinking I was happy about watching Wayne hurt other people.”

The room became quiet.

“I didn’t ask him to ditch anybody. I didn’t ask him to choose me over everyone else.”

Wayne looked at her.

“I know.”

Omni looked directly at him.

“Then don’t make me responsible for your decisions.”

That sentence hit Wayne hard.

He nodded.

“You’re right.”

Omni Makes Her Decision

Amber then looked at Omni.

“There is something else I think you should know.”

Omni frowned.

“What?”

Amber hesitated.

“I’ve seen how Wayne talks about people when they’re not around. I’ve seen him make promises and then change his mind.”

Wayne looked uncomfortable.

“Amber…”

“No,” Amber said. “She deserves to know.”

Omni stared at Wayne.

“Is that true?”

Wayne sighed.

“I’ve made mistakes.”

Amber shook her head.

“That’s not the same as answering her.”

Dave stepped in.

“Wayne has been acting like everybody else is disposable.”

Wayne looked angry.

“Watch what you’re saying.”

Dave didn’t back down.

“I’m saying the truth.”

Omni looked between them.

“Enough.”

Everyone stopped.

She looked at Wayne.

“I don’t know whether this proposal was real, emotional, impulsive, or something else. But I know one thing.”

Wayne waited.

“If you really want me, you have to prove it with your actions. Not a ring.”

Wayne slowly nodded.

“You’re right.”

Omni handed him the ring box.

“I’m not saying no forever.”

Wayne looked surprised.

“But I’m definitely not saying yes tonight.”

She turned toward the door.

Wayne called after her.

“Omni.”

She stopped.

“I meant what I said.”

Omni looked back.

“Then show me.”

She walked away.

Wayne remained standing in the middle of the room, holding the ring box. For the first time that evening, there was no joke, no laughter, and no dramatic speech. There was only silence.

And everyone knew the real question wasn’t whether Wayne had proposed. It was whether he could actually become the man Omni needed him to be.
