🏠 When Larry Finally Kicks Bethany and Brooke Out of the House!
🏠 SCENE 1 — THE NEVER-ENDING FIGHT
The house is quiet for only a few minutes. Then the argument starts again.
BETHANY
“You always have something to say about everything I do!”
BROOKE
“Because you never listen to anybody! You think everything has to be your way!”
Their voices echo through the house. Larry sits in another room, trying to ignore the noise. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, but the arguing only gets louder.
LARRY
“Not again…”
Larry slowly stands up. His patience is running out. He walks toward the living room and sees Bethany and Brooke standing across from each other, both angry.
LARRY
“Are y’all serious right now?”
BETHANY
“Larry, she started it!”
BROOKE
“No, I didn’t! Bethany was the one who started yelling!”
LARRY
“Stop. Both of you.”
The room suddenly becomes quiet. Larry looks at them with disappointment.
LARRY
“I have watched y’all argue every single day. Every morning, every afternoon, every night. I can’t even walk through my own house without hearing somebody yelling.”
LARRY
“I need peace.”
Larry points toward both of them.
LARRY
“I need at least one week of peace. Do you understand me?”
LARRY
“If y’all fight again, I’m going to put both of you out of this house.”
Bethany looks shocked, while Brooke realizes Larry is completely serious.
🌅 SCENE 2 — THE NEXT MORNING
Early the next morning, sunlight comes through the windows. Larry wakes up peacefully. For a few seconds, everything seems normal.
Then he hears shouting downstairs.
LARRY
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Larry gets out of bed and walks downstairs. The argument is already in full swing.
BROOKE
“I told you yesterday that I wasn’t going to let you talk to me like that!”
BETHANY
“And I told you that you need to respect me!”
BROOKE
“I don’t have to respect somebody who keeps starting problems!”
Larry reaches the bottom of the stairs. He stares at both of them. Neither notices him at first.
LARRY
“ENOUGH!”
Both women freeze. Larry walks toward them, visibly frustrated.
LARRY
“What did I tell y’all last night?”
Bethany looks down. Brooke becomes quiet.
LARRY
“I told you I needed one week of peace. Not even one night passed!”
BETHANY
“Larry, you don’t understand what happened.”
LARRY
“I don’t need to understand anymore. Both of you. Get your things.”
Bethany and Brooke stare at Larry in disbelief.
🚪 SCENE 3 — LARRY MAKES HIS DECISION
Larry walks toward the front door and opens it. The morning air comes inside.
BETHANY
“Larry, you’re really putting us out?”
LARRY
“Yes. I warned you both.”
BROOKE
“Wait… what?”
LARRY
“You heard me.”
Bethany grabs her belongings while Brooke picks up her bag. Neither can believe that Larry is actually making them leave.
BETHANY
“But where are we supposed to go?”
LARRY
“That’s something you two need to figure out.”
LARRY
“Don’t come back until you two have worked things out.”
Brooke looks at Bethany. Bethany looks back at Brooke. Neither knows what to say.
LARRY
“I love both of you, but I can’t keep living like this. You’re family. Family is supposed to bring some kind of peace into a home, not destroy it every single day.”
Bethany lowers her head. Brooke wipes away a tear. They step outside, and Larry closes the door behind them.
💔 SCENE 4 — OUTSIDE THE HOUSE
Bethany and Brooke stand on the sidewalk with their bags. For the first time, they are completely silent.
BROOKE
“This is your fault.”
BETHANY
“My fault?”
BROOKE
“If you had just stopped arguing with me, none of this would’ve happened.”
Bethany shakes her head. Then she realizes they are already starting another argument.
BETHANY
“Maybe Larry was right.”
BROOKE
“About what?”
BETHANY
“About us needing to figure this out.”
Brooke looks toward the house. Larry can be seen through the window, watching them.
📱 SCENE 5 — LARRY’S HOUSE
Inside, Larry sits alone in the living room. The house is finally quiet, but instead of feeling happy, Larry looks worried.
LARRY
“They need to learn how to solve this without me.”
Suddenly, his phone rings. Larry looks at the screen. It’s Brooke.
LARRY
“Hello?”
BROOKE
“Larry… Bethany left.”
Larry immediately sits up.
LARRY
“What do you mean she left? Where did she go?”
BROOKE
“I don’t know.”
LARRY
“Brooke, you need to find her.”
BROOKE
“I thought you wanted us to stay away.”
LARRY
“I wanted y’all to stop fighting. I didn’t want anybody disappearing.”
Larry grabs his keys and heads outside.
🔍 SCENE 6 — BROOKE MAKES A CONFESSION
LARRY
“Tell me exactly what happened.”
BROOKE
“We started arguing again after you closed the door.”
LARRY
“Of course.”
BROOKE
“But then Bethany said something that surprised me.”
LARRY
“What?”
BROOKE
“She said she thinks maybe she has been fighting with me because she’s angry about something else.”
Larry looks confused.
LARRY
“What something else?”
BROOKE
“She wouldn’t tell me.”
Larry looks toward the street. Now he understands that this might be bigger than another argument.
LARRY
“We need to find her.”
🌧️ SCENE 7 — BETHANY ALONE
Meanwhile, Bethany sits alone on a bench several blocks away. Her bag rests beside her. She looks exhausted.
She checks her phone and sees several missed calls from Larry, but she doesn’t answer.
BETHANY
“Maybe I really did take everything too far.”
She thinks about the arguments, Larry’s warning, and Brooke. Her eyes fill with tears.
Her phone rings again. This time, Bethany answers.
BETHANY
“Hello?”
LARRY
“Bethany, where are you?”
BETHANY
“Then why are you calling?”
LARRY
“Because you’re still family.”
Bethany closes her eyes.
LARRY
“I don’t want you out there alone.”
BETHANY
“Larry… I don’t know if Brooke and I can fix this.”
LARRY
“Then maybe it’s time you stop trying to win the argument and start trying to understand each other.”
❤️ SCENE 8 — THE UNEXPECTED MEETING
Larry finds Bethany sitting on the bench. He parks nearby and walks toward her.
BETHANY
“You came after me?”
LARRY
“Of course I did.”
Larry sits beside her. For a few seconds, neither speaks.
LARRY
“I meant what I said this morning. You can’t keep fighting with Brooke like this.”
BETHANY
“I know.”
LARRY
“But I also realize kicking you both out isn’t going to magically solve everything.”
BETHANY
“So what happens now?”
LARRY
“Now you and Brooke sit down and talk.”
BETHANY
“And if we fight again?”
LARRY
“Then we’re going to have a much bigger problem.”
