Sharra Learns Brooke Is in the Hospital

Sharra Learns Brooke Is in the Hospital

A dramatic family story filled with heartbreak, regret, and hope.

Scene 1 — The Living Room

The house is unusually quiet. Brooke stands in front of Larry, trying to hold back her tears.

Brooke
Larry, Bethany has brought nothing but trouble into this house. We are all suffering because of her.

Larry’s expression suddenly becomes hard.

Brooke
You should divorce Bethany and ask her to leave this house. Maybe then everyone can finally have some peace.

Larry takes a step toward Brooke, clearly furious.

Larry
How dare you speak about Bethany like that?

Brooke becomes silent.

Larry
You think you have the right to judge her? What about you?
Larry
You went to Philly to see Isaiah, didn’t you? I know about the things you did, and when you were questioned, you had no answers.

Brooke’s eyes fill with tears.

Larry
Before you point fingers at someone else, look at yourself first.

Larry turns away. Brooke remains standing there, completely shattered by his words.

Scene 2 — Brooke’s Bedroom

Brooke quietly enters her bedroom and closes the door. She sits on the edge of her bed.

Larry’s words keep replaying in her mind.

Brooke
Why doesn’t anyone understand me?

Brooke becomes overwhelmed by everything happening inside the house. She stops answering her phone and withdraws from everyone.

The scene fades before showing anything dangerous.

Scene 3 — Something Is Wrong

Later that evening, Larry walks down the hallway with Bethany.

Bethany
Have you seen Brooke? She hasn’t come downstairs.
Larry
No. I thought she was resting.

Bethany looks toward Brooke’s bedroom.

Bethany
Something doesn’t feel right.

Larry knocks on the door.

Larry
Brooke?

There is no answer. Larry knocks again before opening the door. He immediately realizes something is seriously wrong.

Bethany
Oh my God!
Larry
Call for help! Now!

Bethany immediately reaches for her phone while Larry stays beside Brooke, visibly shaken.

Scene 4 — The Hospital

Bright hospital lights fill the hallway. Larry sits outside the emergency room, his hands trembling.

A doctor eventually walks toward them.

Doctor
She’s receiving treatment. We’re monitoring her closely.
Larry
Is she going to be okay?
Doctor
We’re doing everything we can. She needs rest and support right now.

Larry looks down, overwhelmed with regret.

Larry
I shouldn’t have spoken to her like that.

Scene 5 — Sharra Receives the Call

Across town, Sharra is sitting quietly when her phone suddenly rings.

Sharra
Hello?

Her expression changes as she listens to the person on the other end of the call.

Sharra
What? Brooke is in the hospital?

Sharra immediately stands up, her eyes filling with tears.

Sharra
How did this happen?

She listens for a moment before grabbing her things.

Sharra
I’ll be there.

Scene 6 — Sharra Arrives

Sharra rushes into the hospital and sees Larry sitting outside Brooke’s room.

Sharra
What happened to Brooke?
Larry
We found her in her room. She was in serious distress, so we brought her here.
Sharra
Is she awake?
Larry
Not yet.

Sharra turns toward Larry, her expression becoming serious.

Sharra
What happened before this?
Larry
We argued.
Sharra
What did you say to her?
Larry
I was angry. I told her she had no right to judge Bethany. I brought up Philly and Isaiah. I told her to look at herself before talking about someone else.

Sharra closes her eyes for a moment, deeply hurt.

Sharra
She was already under pressure, Larry.
Sharra
Sometimes words can hurt more than we realize.

Scene 7 — Outside Brooke’s Room

Sharra stands outside the glass window of Brooke’s room. She sees Brooke receiving medical care.

Sharra
Brooke… Please don’t give up. You’re not alone.

Larry stands behind her, visibly broken.

Larry
I never wanted this to happen.
Sharra
Then when Brooke wakes up, you need to tell her that.
Sharra
And you need to understand something, Larry. This family has been through enough. Everyone keeps blaming everyone else, and nobody stops to think about what their words are doing.
Larry
You’re right.
Sharra
I just want Brooke to come back to us.

The doctor approaches again.

Doctor
She’s stable for now. We’ll continue monitoring her.

Sharra exhales with relief. Larry closes his eyes. Bethany quietly watches from a distance.

The tension between everyone remains, but one thing has changed. For the first time, they all understand that Brooke needs support, not more accusations.

Sharra looks through the glass one more time.

“We’re here, Brooke.”

The camera slowly pulls back from the hospital corridor. The hallway becomes quiet, and everyone waits for Brooke to open her eyes.
