Larry Decides to Leave Bethany and Move in With Lynette!
Larry Feels Neglected by Bethany
The house is unusually quiet. Larry sits on the couch, looking weak and exhausted. His health has not been good lately, and he desperately needs someone to care for him.
He looks toward the kitchen, hoping Bethany will come and ask how he is feeling. However, Bethany is busy doing her own things and barely pays attention to him.
LARRY:
I honestly don’t understand Bethany anymore. She knows I’m sick, but she doesn’t even bother checking on me.
A few moments later, Bethany walks into the living room.
LARRY:
Bethany, can you please bring me some water? I’m not feeling very well.
BETHANY:
Larry, the water is in the kitchen. You can get it yourself. I’m busy right now.
Larry looks at her in disbelief.
LARRY:
Seriously? You can’t even bring me a glass of water when I’m sick?
BETHANY:
Larry, I have things to do too. I can’t spend the entire day taking care of you.
LARRY:
I never expected you to treat me this way. If I were feeling better, I wouldn’t even be asking you for help.
Bethany rolls her eyes and walks away without saying anything. Larry watches her leave, realizing that he can no longer depend on her.
Larry Makes a Life-Changing Decision
Larry sits alone in the bedroom, thinking about everything that has happened. He remembers how Lynette has always checked on him and shown concern about his health. Unlike Bethany, Lynette makes him feel important.
Larry picks up his phone and looks at Lynette’s contact.
LARRY:
At least Lynette understands what I’m going through. She actually cares about me. I can’t keep staying here when nobody is willing to look after me.
He takes a deep breath and makes a decision that could change his relationship with Bethany forever.
LARRY:
I’m done with this. If Bethany doesn’t want to take care of me, I’ll go somewhere I can get the attention I need. Lynette will look after me much better.
Larry immediately calls Lynette.
Larry Calls Lynette and Asks Her to Come Over
Lynette is relaxing at home when her phone starts ringing. She sees Larry’s name on the screen and quickly answers.
LYNETTE:
Hello, Larry! How are you feeling today?
LARRY:
Honestly, I’m not doing very well. I’m tired of being here, and I don’t feel like Bethany cares about my health anymore.
LYNETTE:
What happened? Is Bethany not taking care of you?
LARRY:
That’s exactly the problem. I’m sick, and she barely checks on me. I need somebody who actually cares about me.
LYNETTE:
Larry, you know you can always talk to me. Your health is important, and you shouldn’t have to go through this alone.
Larry smiles slightly after hearing her response.
LARRY:
That’s why I’m calling you. I want you to come over to Bethany’s house. I need your help with something.
LYNETTE:
Of course. I’ll come over. Just take it easy until I get there.
LARRY:
Thank you, Lynette. I knew I could count on you.
Lynette ends the call and immediately gets ready to visit Larry.
Larry Packs His Belongings
Larry hangs up the phone and begins looking through his closet. He pulls out his clothes, shoes, and personal belongings. One by one, he places everything inside a large suitcase.
His decision is final. He has no intention of staying in Bethany’s house.
LARRY:
I’m not going to beg someone to care about me. I’ve given Bethany enough chances. It’s time for me to think about myself.
He zips up his suitcase and places it near the bedroom door.
LARRY:
I never thought things would end up like this, but I can’t keep living this way.
He picks up his phone and checks the time, waiting for Lynette to arrive.
Lynette Arrives at Bethany’s House
A few minutes later, Lynette arrives at Bethany’s house. She knocks on the door, and Bethany opens it. Bethany looks surprised to see her standing there.
BETHANY:
Lynette? What are you doing here?
LYNETTE:
I’m here to see Larry. He called me and asked me to come over.
BETHANY:
He called you? Why?
Before Lynette can answer, Larry appears from the hallway with his suitcase. Lynette notices the luggage and immediately realizes that Larry is serious about leaving.
LYNETTE:
Larry, are you ready?
LARRY:
Yes. I’ve packed everything. I’m not staying here anymore.
Bethany’s expression changes instantly.
BETHANY:
Wait! What is going on? Why do you have your suitcase?
LARRY:
I’m leaving, Bethany. I’m going with Lynette.
Bethany stares at him, completely shocked.
Bethany Tries to Stop Larry From Leaving
Bethany quickly steps in front of Larry, trying to stop him from leaving.
BETHANY:
Larry, you can’t be serious! You’re sick, and now you’re planning to leave your own home?
LARRY:
I’m leaving because I need somebody to take care of me. I’ve been sitting here feeling terrible, and you haven’t even bothered to check on me.
BETHANY:
That’s not fair! You know I’ve had other things to deal with. I can’t always be available whenever you need something.
LARRY:
And that’s exactly why I’m leaving. I shouldn’t have to beg my own wife to care about me.
Bethany becomes emotional.
BETHANY:
Larry, please don’t do this. We can talk about everything. If you’re upset with me, we can work things out.
LARRY:
I’ve heard enough promises, Bethany. Every time I need you, you have an excuse.
BETHANY:
But I’m your wife! You should be talking to me instead of running to Lynette!
LARRY:
At least Lynette is willing to help me. She actually asks how I’m feeling. She doesn’t make me feel like I’m a burden.
Bethany turns toward Lynette.
BETHANY:
Are you really going to stand here and watch him leave with you?
LYNETTE:
Bethany, Larry called me because he needs help. I’m not going to turn my back on him when he’s not feeling well.
BETHANY:
Larry, please. Just give me another chance. I promise I’ll take better care of you.
Larry picks up his suitcase without responding.
Larry Leaves the House With Lynette
Larry opens the front door and steps outside with his luggage. Lynette follows him, carrying another bag. Bethany remains standing near the doorway, unable to believe what is happening.
BETHANY:
Larry! Please don’t leave me like this!
Larry doesn’t turn around.
BETHANY:
At least look at me! Can we please talk about this?
But Larry continues walking toward the car. Lynette opens the passenger-side door and helps Larry settle inside.
LYNETTE:
Are you comfortable? Do you need anything before we leave?
LARRY:
No, I’m okay. Thank you for coming to get me.
LYNETTE:
Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you’re comfortable. You need to focus on getting better.
Larry looks relieved. Meanwhile, Bethany rushes outside one last time.
BETHANY:
Larry, you’re making a huge mistake! You can’t just walk away from our relationship!
Larry briefly looks in her direction but says nothing. He turns away and closes the car door.
Lynette gets behind the steering wheel and starts the engine.
Bethany Is Left Heartbroken
The car slowly pulls away from the house. Bethany watches Larry disappear down the street with Lynette. She wipes away her tears and shakes her head.
BETHANY:
I can’t believe he actually left me. He didn’t even give me a chance to explain myself.
Inside the car, Larry looks out the window, leaving Bethany and their home behind.
LYNETTE:
You don’t have to worry about anything now, Larry. I’ll make sure you get the care and attention you need.
LARRY:
That’s all I’ve been asking for. I just want somebody who cares about me.
Lynette smiles and continues driving.
Back at the house, Bethany slowly walks inside. She notices the empty space where Larry’s suitcase had been. She sits on the couch and begins crying.
BETHANY:
I never thought Larry would actually leave me for Lynette. What am I supposed to do now?
Bethany picks up her phone, thinking about calling Larry, but stops herself. She knows he has made his decision.
Meanwhile, Larry arrives at Lynette’s house, believing he has finally found someone who will take care of him.
But one question remains: Will Larry truly find happiness with Lynette, or will he eventually regret leaving Bethany?
