D’NISHA LOSES CONTROL OF KIA!

ANTHONY WITNESSES EVERYTHING AND MAKES A SHOCKING DECISION!

SUMMARY

D’Nisha has reached her breaking point with Kia. She no longer wants the responsibility of taking care of him, and she feels that everyone in the family is putting the burden on her shoulders. SCENE 1: D’NISHA FINALLY LOSES HER PATIENCE

INT. ANTHONY’S HOUSE – AFTERNOON

The atmosphere inside Anthony’s house is tense. D’Nisha is already frustrated because she feels that taking care of Kia has become her responsibility. She never wanted to spend all her time looking after him, and she believes everyone expects her to behave like a full-time babysitter.

Kia is sitting nearby, looking uncomfortable as D’Nisha continues complaining.

D’NISHA:

“Kia, I’ve had enough! Why does everyone keep leaving you with me? Do I look like someone who has nothing else to do with her life?”

KIA:

“I didn’t do anything. I was just sitting here.”

D’NISHA:

“That’s exactly the problem! Everyone thinks I should take care of you. Nobody asks me whether I want this responsibility or not!”

D’Nisha becomes increasingly irritated. She starts complaining about Anthony and the rest of the family.

D’NISHA:

“I’m not your servant! I have my own life, my own responsibilities, and my own problems. Why should I spend my entire day taking care of someone else’s child?”

Kia tries to explain himself, but D’Nisha refuses to listen.

KIA:

“Can I call Daddy?”

D’NISHA:

“Of course! That’s all you people know how to do. Whenever there’s a problem, you call Anthony. Why can’t anyone understand what I’m going through?”

SCENE 2: D’NISHA CROSSES THE LINE

INT. LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

D’Nisha’s frustration turns into anger. Kia tries to move away from the argument, but D’Nisha continues confronting him.

D’NISHA:

“You need to understand something. I never agreed to become responsible for you. Everyone keeps putting this responsibility on my shoulders without even asking me!”

KIA:

“But I want to stay here. I don’t want to go anywhere.”

D’NISHA:

“That’s not my problem! Why can’t you people leave me alone?”

Kia becomes upset and starts calling for Anthony.

KIA:

“Daddy! Where are you?”

D’Nisha loses control and strikes Kia. Kia immediately becomes frightened and starts crying.

D’NISHA:

“Stop crying! I’m tired of all this drama. You think crying is going to change anything?”

Kia steps away from her, hoping someone will come to help him.

But D’Nisha has no idea that someone is already approaching the house.

SCENE 3: ANTHONY ARRIVES AND WITNESSES EVERYTHING

INT. HOUSE ENTRANCE – MOMENTS LATER

Anthony arrives home earlier than expected. He walks toward the living room, expecting everything to be normal.

However, he suddenly hears Kia crying.

ANTHONY:

“Wait a minute. What’s going on in there?”

He walks closer and hears D’Nisha shouting.

D’NISHA:

“I’m not going to keep doing this! Everybody needs to stop putting Kia on my shoulders!”

Anthony enters the living room and witnesses the situation. He sees Kia crying and D’Nisha standing angrily in front of him.

ANTHONY:

“D’Nisha! What are you doing?”

D’Nisha turns around in shock. She never expected Anthony to arrive at that particular moment.

D’NISHA:

“Anthony? What are you doing here?”

Anthony ignores her question and looks directly at Kia.

ANTHONY:

“Son, come here. What’s wrong? Why are you crying?”

Kia immediately moves toward his father.

ANTHONY:

“Did you just hit my son?”

D’NISHA:

“Anthony, you don’t understand what’s happening here. I’ve been dealing with this situation all day!”

ANTHONY:

“I asked you a simple question. Did you hit Kia?”

D’NISHA:

“Yes, but you need to understand why! I’m tired of everyone expecting me to take care of him!”

SCENE 4: D’NISHA BLAMES THE ENTIRE FAMILY

INT. LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

Anthony cannot believe what he is hearing. Instead of apologizing, D’Nisha starts blaming everyone around her.

D’NISHA:

“Anthony, I’m not a babysitter! Every single person in this family thinks they can leave Kia with me whenever they want. Nobody cares about my feelings!”

ANTHONY:

“Are you seriously trying to justify treating a child this way?”

D’NISHA:

“I’m telling you the truth! You all have made me responsible for something I never agreed to!”

ANTHONY:

“D’Nisha, if you didn’t want to take care of Kia, you could have told me. You could have called me. You could have walked away from the situation. But you had absolutely no right to hurt him!”

D’NISHA:

“So now I’m the bad person? What about everybody else? What about all the people who keep expecting me to handle everything?”

ANTHONY:

“Don’t bring everybody else into this. We’re talking about my son, and I want to know why you thought it was acceptable to treat him like this.”

D’NISHA:

“Because I’m tired, Anthony! I’m tired of being treated like everyone’s personal servant!”

SCENE 5: ANTHONY MAKES A SHOCKING DECISION

INT. LIVING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER

Anthony has reached his limit. He looks at D’Nisha with complete disappointment.

ANTHONY:

“Listen carefully. Kia is my son. If anybody is going to take responsibility for him, it’s going to be me.”

D’NISHA:

“So what are you saying? That I have to keep doing everything for him?”

ANTHONY:

“No! I’m saying you don’t have to do anything anymore. I’ll take care of my own child.”

D’NISHA:

“Anthony, you’re making this a much bigger situation than it needs to be.”

ANTHONY:

“You’re the one who made it serious when you decided to put your hands on my son.”

Anthony reacts angrily and slaps D’Nisha once.

D’NISHA:

“Did you seriously just do that?”

ANTHONY:

“Get your things and leave. I don’t need you here anymore.”

He points toward the door.

ANTHONY:

“This is my son. I’ll take care of him myself. I don’t need your help, and I certainly don’t need someone around him who cannot treat him with kindness.”

D’Nisha realizes that Anthony is serious.

SCENE 6: KIA FINALLY FEELS SAFE

INT. LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

Anthony kneels beside Kia and gently comforts him.

ANTHONY:

“Hey, buddy. Look at me. You’re okay. Daddy is here.”

KIA:

“Daddy, I didn’t do anything wrong. I just wanted to stay here.”

ANTHONY:

“I know, son. You don’t have to explain yourself. You haven’t done anything wrong.”

KIA:

“Is D’Nisha angry with me because I stayed here?”

ANTHONY:

“Sometimes adults get frustrated, but that doesn’t mean they have the right to hurt you. You deserve to feel safe, no matter where you are.”

Kia hugs his father.

KIA:

“Are you going to send me away?”

ANTHONY:

“No, son. I’m not sending you anywhere right now. We’ll figure everything out together.”

However, while comforting his son, Anthony notices something unusual. Kia keeps looking toward the hallway.

ANTHONY:

“What’s wrong? Is there something else you want to tell me?”

Kia hesitates.

SCENE 7: A SECRET THAT COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING

INT. LIVING ROOM – EVENING

Anthony sits beside Kia, waiting for him to continue.

KIA:

“D’Nisha said that she doesn’t want me here anymore. She said someone else should take me away.”

Anthony becomes silent.

ANTHONY:

“Did she say anything else?”

KIA:

“She said that everybody would be happier if I wasn’t staying here.”

Anthony looks down, deeply disappointed.

ANTHONY:

“Listen to me, Kia. You are important to me. Nobody gets to decide that you don’t belong in this family.”

He picks up his phone and calls D’Nisha.

ANTHONY:

“D’Nisha, I need you to come over. Something happened with Kia, and we need to talk.”

D’NISHA:

“Anthony, what happened? Is Kia okay?”

ANTHONY:

“He’s with me now, but I just discovered something that I think you should know.”

D’NISHA:

“What are you talking about?”

ANTHONY:

“D’Nisha has been treating Kia badly because she doesn’t want the responsibility of looking after him. And I think there’s more to this situation than she’s telling us.”

D’Nisha becomes concerned.

D’NISHA:

“Anthony, are you sure? Because D’Nisha has been acting differently lately.”

ANTHONY:

“What do you mean by that?”

D’NISHA:

“I didn’t want to get involved before, but there’s something I heard D’Nisha saying to someone. I wasn’t sure what she was planning.”

ANTHONY:

“What exactly did you hear?”

Before D’Nisha can answer, someone knocks on the front door.

ANTHONY:

“Hold on. Someone’s here.”

He walks toward the door and opens it.

To his surprise, D’Nisha is standing outside. But this time, she isn’t alone. A woman is standing beside her, holding a folder.

ANTHONY:

“D’Nisha? What are you doing back here?”

D’NISHA:

“I came back because there’s something you need to know about Kia.”

Anthony looks confused.

ANTHONY:

“What could you possibly have to say about him now?”

D’NISHA:

“Anthony, before you make another decision, you need to hear the truth. There’s something about this entire situation that you don’t know.”

The woman takes a step forward.

WOMAN:

“Anthony, I think you should look at these documents before you decide what happens next.”

Anthony slowly takes the folder. He opens it, reads the first page, and suddenly his expression changes.

ANTHONY:

“Wait… What is this?”

D’Nisha remains silent.

ANTHONY:

“Are you telling me this has been going on behind my back?”

D’NISHA:

“I was trying to tell you, Anthony. But you never gave me the chance.”

ANTHONY:

“If this is true, then why didn’t you tell me from the beginning?”

D’Nisha has no immediate answer.

Suddenly, Anthony’s phone starts ringing. It’s D’Nisha.

D’NISHA (ON PHONE):

“Anthony, don’t sign anything! You need to know who’s behind all of this before it’s too late!”

Anthony freezes.

ANTHONY:

“D’Nisha, what are you talking about? Who is behind this?”

But before she can answer, the call suddenly disconnects.

Anthony stands there, completely confused. He looks at D’Nisha, then at the documents in his hands.
