Anthony and D’Nisha’s Engagement Turns Into a Jealousy-Filled Wedding Drama

The room went completely silent when Anthony suddenly stepped forward, took D’Nisha’s hand, and dropped to one knee in front of everyone.

D’Nisha froze.

Her eyes widened as she looked around the room at their friends, who were already staring at them in shock.

Anthony opened the ring box.

Anthony: “D’Nisha, I know we’ve been through a lot. We’ve argued, we’ve misunderstood each other, and sometimes we’ve almost walked away. But through everything, I realized one thing. I don’t want to spend my life without you.”

D’Nisha covered her mouth.

Anthony: “I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?”

For a few seconds, nobody said a word.

Then D’Nisha smiled through her tears.

D’Nisha: “Yes.”

The room erupted with cheers.

Anthony stood up, hugged her tightly, and slipped the ring onto her finger.

Everyone congratulated them, but not everyone was genuinely happy.

Across the room, Amber stood beside Dave, watching them carefully. Her smile slowly disappeared.

Friend: “You okay?”

Amber: “Yeah. I’m happy for them.”

But the expression on her face said something completely different.

Anthony noticed everyone staring and smiled.

Anthony: “This is just the beginning. We’re getting married.”

D’Nisha: “I still can’t believe you actually did this.”

Anthony: “I wanted everybody to know how serious I am about you.”

That sentence immediately caught Amber’s attention.

Later that evening, while everyone was celebrating the engagement, Amber pulled D’Nisha aside.

The First Signs of Jealousy

Amber: “You really think everything is going to be perfect now?”

D’Nisha: “What do you mean?”

Amber: “I’m just saying, marriage is different. You better make sure Anthony really means everything he says.”

D’Nisha: “He proposed to me in front of everybody. What more proof do you need?”

Amber shrugged.

Amber: “I’m not talking about Anthony.”

D’Nisha: “Then who are you talking about?”

Amber: “Me.”

D’Nisha looked at her.

Amber: “Dave never proposed to me like that.”

D’Nisha: “Amber, this isn’t about you and Dave.”

Amber: “I know. But sometimes a woman has to ask herself why her man doesn’t make the same effort.”

D’Nisha sighed.

D’Nisha: “You’re comparing your relationship to mine.”

Amber: “I’m just telling you what I see.”

Unfortunately, Dave overheard the last part.

Dave: “Amber, what are you doing?”

Amber: “Nothing.”

Dave: “You’ve been making comments all night.”

Amber: “Because maybe I have something to say.”

D’Nisha tried to step away, but Amber continued.

Amber: “Anthony made D’Nisha feel special in front of everybody. You never did that for me.”

Dave: “You’re seriously bringing this up right now?”

Amber: “When else am I supposed to bring it up?”

D’Nisha finally stepped between them.

D’Nisha: “Guys, please. This is supposed to be a happy night.”

Amber looked at D’Nisha.

Amber: “You don’t understand.”

D’Nisha: “Then explain it without attacking Dave.”

Amber became quiet.

Dave walked away, clearly frustrated.

The Argument Gets Worse

The engagement celebration continued, but the mood had changed.

The next morning, Amber couldn’t stop thinking about Anthony’s proposal. She sat with D’Nisha and started talking again.

Amber: “You know what bothers me?”

D’Nisha: “What?”

Amber: “Dave acts like our relationship is already guaranteed. Like he doesn’t have to prove anything anymore.”

D’Nisha: “Amber, don’t let someone else’s engagement make you question your entire relationship.”

Amber: “Easy for you to say. Anthony just got down on one knee in front of everyone.”

D’Nisha: “He did. But that doesn’t mean my relationship is perfect.”

Amber remained silent.

Amber: “At least he showed you he was serious.”

That sentence reached Dave when he entered the room.

Dave: “Are you still talking about my proposal?”

Amber: “I wasn’t talking to you.”

Dave: “You don’t have to. I heard you.”

D’Nisha immediately stood up.

D’Nisha: “I’m going to leave you two alone.”

As D’Nisha walked away, Dave confronted Amber.

Dave: “You’re comparing me to Anthony again.”

Amber: “Because Anthony understands what women want.”

Dave: “So now I’m not good enough?”

Amber: “I didn’t say that.”

Dave: “You didn’t have to.”

Amber crossed her arms.

Amber: “I just wanted you to show me that I’m important.”

Dave: “I’ve shown you in plenty of ways.”

Amber: “Not like Anthony did.”

Dave: “That was his moment, Amber. Why are you trying to turn it into ours?”

Amber became emotional.

Amber: “Because watching him propose made me realize how much I’ve been waiting for you to do something like that.”

Dave: “And instead of talking to me about it, you decided to embarrass me in front of everybody?”

Amber: “I wasn’t trying to embarrass you.”

Dave: “It feels like you were.”

D’Nisha Steps In

Their argument became louder.

D’Nisha, who was still nearby, returned after hearing them.

D’Nisha: “Stop!”

Both of them looked at her.

D’Nisha: “This is getting ridiculous. My engagement shouldn’t be the reason you two fight.”

Amber: “You don’t understand.”

D’Nisha: “If you love Dave, talk about your relationship. Don’t use mine as a weapon against him.”

Dave nodded.

Dave: “She’s right.”

Amber remained silent.

Dave: “You want to know why I haven’t proposed?”

Amber: “Why?”

Dave: “Because I didn’t want to propose just because somebody else did. I wanted it to happen when I knew we were ready.”

Amber’s expression softened.

Amber: “You could’ve told me that.”

Dave: “I know.”

For the first time that morning, both of them stopped arguing.

A New Understanding

Meanwhile, Anthony and D’Nisha were discussing their wedding plans.

Anthony: “I want our wedding to be something you’ll never forget.”

D’Nisha: “After the proposal you just gave me, I’m starting to think you’re trying to compete with yourself.”

Anthony: “No. I just want you to know I meant every word.”

D’Nisha: “I know.”

But neither of them realized that their engagement had exposed problems between their friends.

That evening, everyone gathered again.

Amber: “I owe you an apology.”

D’Nisha: “For what?”

Amber: “For letting jealousy ruin your moment.”

D’Nisha smiled and hugged her.

D’Nisha: “You’re my friend. I just don’t want you to think your relationship has to look like mine.”

Amber: “I understand now.”

Dave walked over and took Amber’s hand.

Dave: “I think we need to have a serious conversation.”

Amber: “About what?”

Dave: “Us.”

Amber smiled.

Amber: “Do you think we’re okay?”

Dave: “I think we just needed to stop comparing ourselves to everyone else.”

Anthony watched them from across the room and smiled.

D’Nisha: “Do you think they’re okay?”

Anthony: “I think they just needed to stop comparing themselves to everyone else.”

D’Nisha: “And us?”

Anthony: “Us? We’re getting married.”

D’Nisha: “Then you’d better start preparing.”

Anthony: “I’m ready.”

But as everyone celebrated, Amber quietly looked at Dave.

For the first time, she wasn’t comparing him to Anthony.

She was simply waiting to see what Dave would do next.
