Bethany’s New Plan

1. Bethany Shows Brooke How Much She Cares

The atmosphere in the house was emotional as Brooke sat beside Bethany. Bethany lovingly began feeding Brooke with her own hands. She smiled warmly at Brooke, trying to make her feel safe and wanted.

Bethany looked directly at Brooke and said, “I love you so much. You are my daughter, and I care about you more than you know. You should never go to Lynette’s house. Larry keeps trying to send you away, sometimes to Sharra’s house and sometimes to Lynette’s. He just wants to get your responsibility off his shoulders.”

Bethany gently held Brooke’s hand and continued, “I will never let you go from here. Stay with me. You can live here with me, and I will always take care of you.”

2. Brooke Starts Believing Bethany

Brooke listened carefully to every word Bethany said. She had already been confused about where she truly belonged. She did not know whether Larry wanted what was best for her or whether he was simply trying to decide where she should live.

But watching Bethany lovingly feed her and seeing how much attention she was giving her made Brooke feel that Bethany genuinely cared about her.

Finally, Brooke quietly said, “I don’t want to leave either. I know you take care of me.”

Bethany smiled immediately. She continued feeding Brooke, looking pleased that Brooke was beginning to trust her and wanted to stay by her side.

3. Larry Starts Clapping

Just then, Larry noticed what was happening. He watched Bethany feeding Brooke and suddenly began clapping. The sound of his applause filled the room.

Larry looked at Bethany with a suspicious smile and said, “So, what new plan are you working on now?”

Bethany remained calm. She looked at Larry and replied, “Why don’t you ask your daughter yourself? I was only telling Brooke that you love her very much and that you want her to be happy no matter what.”

Larry stared at Bethany for a moment. He clearly wasn’t convinced. Something about the situation made him feel that Bethany was trying to influence Brooke and make her choose to stay with her.

4. Brooke Takes Bethany’s Side

Larry turned toward Brooke, waiting for her response. Brooke looked at Bethany and then slowly nodded her head in agreement.

That small gesture made Larry quiet for a moment. Bethany quickly smiled and said, “See? Brooke knows how much I care about her.”

Larry said nothing. He simply continued looking at Brooke. There was now a clear sense of trust between Brooke and Bethany.

Brooke genuinely seemed to believe that staying with Bethany was the right choice. But Larry still had doubts. He wondered whether Brooke had truly made this decision herself or whether Bethany’s words had influenced her.

5. What Is Bethany Really Planning?

The room became quiet. Bethany stayed close to Brooke, continuing to treat her with affection. Brooke felt confident about her decision, but Larry’s expression showed that he was still suspicious.

Larry finally looked at Bethany and said, “If Brooke is saying she wants to stay here, then I have to listen to what she wants.”

Bethany smiled and pulled Brooke closer. For the moment, it looked like Bethany had gotten exactly what she wanted.

But Larry’s suspicion had not disappeared. Deep down, he felt there was more behind Bethany’s sudden affection toward Brooke.
