Amber Admits Her Mistake

The evening was unusually quiet. Dave was sitting alone in the living room, lost in his thoughts. His face showed disappointment, and it was clear that the trust between him and Amber had been seriously damaged.

Amber slowly walked toward Dave. She knew that she had made a mistake, and she also knew that saying sorry would not immediately repair everything. Still, she wanted to tell Dave exactly how she felt.

“Dave, please forgive me,” Amber said emotionally. “I know I made a mistake. I should never have allowed things to reach this point. I am truly sorry.”

Dave looked at Amber but remained silent. His silence made Amber even more nervous, but she continued speaking.

Amber Promises to Leave Wayne’s Podcast

“I promise you, Dave,” Amber said, “I will leave Wayne’s podcast. From today onward, I won’t go back there. Wayne used me, and I finally understand that. I don’t want anything to do with him anymore.”

Amber’s voice became emotional as she continued, “I hate what Wayne did to me. I trusted him, but he only used me for his own benefit. I realize now that I made the wrong decisions, and I am sorry that those decisions hurt you.”

She looked at Dave with hope in her eyes. “Please give me another chance. I don’t want Wayne’s podcast or anything that comes between us. I just want to fix everything between us.”

Dave Reminds Amber of His Sacrifices

After listening quietly, Dave finally spoke. His voice was calm, but his words revealed how deeply hurt he was.

“Amber, I trusted you,” Dave said. “I believed you would stand beside me. Do you remember how much I did for you?”

He paused before continuing. “I spent so much money building a home because I believed we were going to have a future together. I made sacrifices for you because I wanted to marry you.”

Amber lowered her eyes as Dave continued. “I even left my parents behind because I thought you were the person I wanted to spend my life with. I made those choices because I believed in our relationship.”

Amber became emotional. She realized that Dave wasn’t simply angry about Wayne’s podcast. He was hurt because he had built his dreams around their relationship.

Dave looked away and quietly said, “But now, I don’t think I can do that anymore.”

Amber Asks Dave About Marriage

Amber looked at Dave in shock. She knew exactly what his words could mean. After a long pause, she finally asked the question that had been troubling her.

“Dave… does that mean you don’t want to marry me anymore?”

Dave looked at Amber. She waited desperately for an answer. She wanted him to say that there was still hope for their relationship, but Dave didn’t respond.

Amber stood there silently, waiting for even a small sign from him. But Dave’s expression remained serious and unreadable.

The Silence Before Dave’s Final Decision

Amber knew that she could not change the past. She could only prove that she was willing to change her future. She promised Dave that she would stay away from Wayne’s podcast and focus on rebuilding the trust she had lost.

But Dave still remained silent.

Amber wondered whether Dave was simply hurt and needed time, or whether he had already made a final decision about their future.
