Amber and Delicia’s Dangerous Plan B

Amber and Delicia had been smiling for the cameras, pretending everything was normal. But behind the closed doors of the podcast office, the atmosphere had completely changed. Their attention was focused on one person: Lauren.

Amber leaned closer to Delicia and lowered her voice. “I’m telling you, I don’t trust her anymore.”

Delicia nodded. “Neither do I. She knows way too much.”

Lauren was not just their friend and business partner. She had heard private conversations, including discussions about the podcast, their lawyer, and decisions they never wanted Wayne to know about. The thought of Lauren repeating those conversations had Amber and Delicia extremely nervous.

“What if she goes back and tells Wayne everything?” Delicia asked.

“That’s exactly what I’m afraid of,” Amber replied. “And you know how Lauren is. She could tell him just enough to make us look guilty while making herself look innocent.”

Delicia looked toward the office door before answering. “We can’t let that happen.”

Amber’s expression suddenly changed. She had an idea.

“What if we make sure Wayne never gets the chance to listen to her?”

Delicia stared at her. “What are you thinking?”

Amber smiled. “Plan B.”

The plan was risky, but Amber believed it could solve several problems. If they could get Wayne’s attention focused somewhere else, Lauren might lose the influence she currently had over him.

They began discussing one of their homegirls, a confident woman Wayne had never met. Amber believed she could get his attention quickly.

“If Wayne gets interested in somebody else,” Amber explained, “Lauren won’t be his only focus anymore.”

Delicia understood immediately. “And if he starts having problems with Lauren, he might decide he doesn’t want her around the podcast anymore.”

“That’s the point,” Amber said.

Neither woman wanted to confront Lauren directly. They wanted Wayne to believe that his decision to distance himself from Lauren was entirely his own.

“If Lauren loses Wayne’s trust and her position around the podcast at the same time,” Delicia said, “then our biggest problem disappears.”

Amber nodded. “Exactly.”

But there was a major risk. Lauren knew too much. If she discovered what Amber and Delicia were planning, she could expose every private conversation they had ever had.

“We have to be careful,” Amber warned. “Wayne cannot know this came from us.”

“I know,” Delicia replied. “Because if he figures that out, we’re finished.”

They agreed that everything had to look natural. Their homegirl would meet Wayne, start a harmless conversation, and slowly become a distraction. The goal was not simply to get his attention. They wanted Wayne to question his relationship with Lauren.

If that happened, they believed Lauren could eventually lose her place in the podcast office.

But while they were busy creating their secret plan, Lauren had already started noticing something strange.

Every time she walked into the room, conversations suddenly became quieter. Amber and Delicia exchanged suspicious looks. Their behavior around her was different.

Lauren might not have known the details, but she knew something was happening.

Meanwhile, Amber and Delicia continued planning.

“What if Lauren finds out?” Delicia suddenly asked.

Amber’s smile disappeared.

“Then we have a much bigger problem.”

Delicia looked worried. “She could tell Wayne about everything. The podcast conversations. The lawyer discussions. Even this plan.”

Amber took a deep breath. “That’s why she can’t find out.”

The tension grew stronger.

They were no longer simply trying to protect their business. They were preparing for a confrontation with someone who knew their secrets.

Amber looked directly at Delicia. “Once we start this, there’s no going back.”

Delicia nodded slowly. “I know.”

They were about to continue when Delicia’s phone suddenly vibrated.

She looked at the screen.

Amber’s expression changed.

“Who sent that?” she whispered.

“I don’t know,” Delicia replied.

Before either woman could say anything else, another message appeared.

The room suddenly felt silent.

Amber stared at Delicia.

Delicia stared back.

Their secret Plan B had barely begun, yet someone already knew exactly what they were doing.

The question was who had discovered their plan first.

Was Lauren already watching them? Had someone overheard their conversation? Or was someone else working against them?

Amber reached for Delicia’s phone, but before she could touch it, a third message appeared.

Amber’s face went pale.

Delicia slowly stepped back.

Neither woman knew what to say.

For the first time, they realized their Plan B might have created a problem far bigger than the one they were trying to solve.

And somewhere outside that office, someone was waiting for their next move.
