Brooke’s Heartbreak Lands Her in the Hospital

The house had never felt this quiet.

For the past two days, Brooke had barely spoken to anyone. Ever since Isaiah left her, she had been carrying a pain she couldn’t explain. She kept telling herself that she was okay, but deep down, she was falling apart.

Her phone sat beside her on the bed. She kept checking it, hoping to see a message from Isaiah.

Nothing.
No call.
No text.
Just silence.

Brooke slowly wiped the tears from her face and whispered to herself.

Brooke:
“Why did you have to leave me like this, Isaiah? Why?”

She had barely eaten anything for two days. Every time someone brought her food, she pushed the plate away.

Brooke:
“I’m not hungry.”

But the truth was, Brooke wasn’t taking care of herself.

Her emotional pain had become so overwhelming that she stopped caring about everything else.

That morning, Brooke tried to get out of bed. She stood up slowly, but suddenly the room began spinning.

Brooke:
“Whoa…”

She grabbed the edge of the table to steady herself.

Her body felt weak. Her head was burning, and she could barely keep her eyes open.

Brooke:
“I feel so hot…”

A few seconds later, her knees became weak, and she collapsed back onto the bed.

Someone in the house heard the noise and rushed into the room.

Bethany:
“Brooke!”

Bethany ran over and touched Brooke’s forehead.

Her expression immediately changed.

Bethany:
“Oh my God, Brooke! You’re burning up!”

Brooke opened her eyes slowly.

Brooke:
“I’m fine… I just need to rest.”
Bethany:
“No, you’re not fine. You haven’t eaten in two days, and now you have a really high fever.”

Brooke turned her face away.

Brooke:
“I just… I don’t feel like eating.”
Bethany:
“This isn’t about food anymore. You need medical attention.”

Bethany quickly called for help, and Brooke was taken to the hospital.

At the Hospital

The doctors immediately began checking Brooke’s condition.

Her temperature was extremely high, and her body was severely weak.

A nurse started an IV while another doctor examined her.

Doctor:
“She’s very dehydrated and extremely weak. Has she been eating normally?”

Bethany looked down sadly.

Bethany:
“No. She hasn’t eaten anything properly for the last two days.”
Doctor:
“That can put a lot of stress on the body, especially when someone is already emotionally distressed. We’re going to keep her here and monitor her closely.”

Brooke lay quietly in the hospital bed.

Her eyes were closed, but her mind was still thinking about Isaiah.

Brooke:
“Isaiah…”

Bethany heard her and sat beside her.

Bethany:
“Brooke, please stop hurting yourself over him. You have to take care of yourself.”

Brooke slowly opened her eyes.

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

Brooke:
“I just wanted him to stay…”
Bethany:
“I know. But you can’t destroy yourself because someone walked away.”

Isaiah Finds Out

Meanwhile, Isaiah had no idea what was happening.

He was going about his day when he suddenly received a call.

The moment he heard Brooke was in the hospital, his entire expression changed.

Isaiah:
“What? Brooke is in the hospital?”

The person on the phone explained that Brooke had been extremely sick and hadn’t eaten for two days.

Isaiah froze.

His guilt hit him instantly.

Isaiah:
“She hasn’t eaten?”

He stood up immediately.

Isaiah:
“Which hospital?”

As soon as he got the information, Isaiah grabbed his keys and rushed out.

His mind was racing.

Isaiah:
“This is my fault… I should’ve checked on her.”

He drove as quickly as he safely could, desperate to see Brooke.

At Brooke’s Hospital Room

Isaiah finally arrived at the hospital.

He rushed through the hallway and reached Brooke’s room.

When he saw her lying in the hospital bed with an IV in her arm, his heart sank.

Brooke looked exhausted.

Isaiah:
“Brooke…”

Her eyes opened.

The moment she saw him, she became emotional.

Brooke:
“Isaiah?”

He stood beside her bed, struggling to hold back his tears.

Isaiah:
“I just found out. Why didn’t you tell me you were this sick?”

Brooke looked away.

Brooke:
“You left me. I thought you didn’t care anymore.”
Isaiah:
“That doesn’t mean I wanted you to hurt yourself.”

Brooke began crying.

Brooke:
“I didn’t mean for this to happen. I just couldn’t handle everything.”
Isaiah:
“Listen to me. Whatever happens between us, you have to take care of yourself. I never wanted you to end up here.”

Brooke looked into his eyes.

Brooke:
“Then why did you leave?”

Isaiah became silent.

He knew there were questions he couldn’t avoid anymore.

He pulled a chair closer to her bed and sat down.

Isaiah:
“I know I hurt you. And I’m sorry.”

Brooke wiped her tears.

Brooke:
“I just wanted you to choose me.”

Isaiah looked down at their hands.

Isaiah:
“You matter to me, Brooke. More than you realize.”

For the first time in two days, Brooke felt a small sense of comfort.

But the situation had changed everything.

Her illness had shown Isaiah just how deeply his actions had affected her.

And now, sitting beside her hospital bed, Isaiah realized that leaving Brooke behind had consequences he could no longer ignore.

The room became quiet.

Isaiah squeezed her hand.

Isaiah:
“I’m here now.”

Brooke closed her eyes as another tear rolled down her cheek.

For now, that was all she needed to hear. ❤️
