The Unexpected Knock
It was late in the evening when Cadrick heard a series of heavy knocks coming from his front door. The sound immediately made him uneasy. When he looked outside, he saw Libby standing there. He locked the door and stayed inside. Libby knocked again, louder this time.
Cadrick took a breath before answering through the closed door. “Libby, I don’t want to argue tonight. Please go home.”
