Libby’s Last Plea

Libby’s Last Plea

A Story of Love, Divorce, Regret, and Second Chances

An Unexpected Visit

Libby had spent days thinking about one difficult decision. She knew that going to Natasha would not be easy, but she felt that she had nowhere else to turn. Her marriage to Terry had become increasingly painful, and she desperately wanted a fresh start.

One afternoon, Libby finally gathered the courage to visit Natasha. When Natasha opened the door and saw her standing there, her expression immediately became serious.

“What are you doing here, Libby?”

Libby took a deep breath. She knew this conversation could change everything.

“Natasha, I need to talk to you about something important.”

The Impossible Offer

Natasha folded her arms and waited. Libby struggled to find the right words before finally revealing why she had come.

“I want you to withdraw the case you filed against Cedric.”

Natasha immediately became angry. She could not believe Libby had walked into her home and asked such a thing.

“You came here to tell me what I should do with Cedric?”

Libby quickly shook her head.

“Please, just hear me out. I’m also ready to divorce Terry.”

Libby explained that Terry had been spending almost all of his time with Keke while barely paying attention to her. She felt forgotten inside her own marriage and believed divorce was the only way she could finally move forward.

Libby’s Desperate Proposal

Libby looked directly at Natasha and explained the plan she had been carrying in her heart.

“You let Cedric go, and I’ll let Terry go. Then maybe you and I can finally stop fighting over the people who are keeping us unhappy.”

Libby admitted that she wanted to build a peaceful life with Cedric. She believed that if Natasha withdrew the case and she completed her divorce from Terry, everyone could finally move on.

But Natasha did not see it that way. To her, Libby’s proposal sounded less like a solution and more like an attempt to manipulate a serious situation.

Natasha Loses Her Patience

Natasha’s voice became sharper.

“Get out of here, Libby. I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”

Libby’s eyes filled with tears. She realized that Natasha was not willing to listen, but she still refused to give up.

In desperation, Libby dropped to her knees and begged Natasha to reconsider.

“Please, Natasha. I’m not asking you to forgive everything. I’m asking you to give me one chance to change my life.”

Natasha was overwhelmed by the situation. In the heated moment, she pushed Libby away while trying to make her leave. Libby lost her balance and fell to the floor.

The momentary silence that followed was heavier than the argument itself.

A Heartfelt Apology

Despite what had happened, Libby slowly gathered herself and looked up at Natasha. Instead of responding with anger, she began to cry.

“I’m sorry. I know I’ve made mistakes. I know I’ve hurt people. But please forgive me.”

Libby apologized for everything she believed she had done wrong. She admitted that her choices had caused pain and confusion, but she insisted that her feelings about wanting a different life were real.

“Please, just let both of us be happy. You deserve your peace, and I deserve the chance to find mine.”

Natasha stood silently. For the first time, she could see that Libby was not simply trying to win an argument. She was desperate for a way out of a life that no longer felt right to her.

The Decision That Could Change Everything

Natasha finally took a deep breath and looked at Libby.

“You want me to forget everything just so you can start over?”

Libby lowered her head.

“No. I’m asking you to give me a chance. I want to take responsibility for my own life, and I want you to have the same freedom.”

Natasha did not give her an answer. She knew that withdrawing the case against Cedric was not a simple decision, and she was not prepared to make such a choice under pressure.

Instead, Natasha told Libby that if she truly wanted to change her life, she would first have to prove that she was serious and willing to take responsibility for her choices.

Libby walked away with tears in her eyes, but for the first time, she felt that there might still be a path toward a new beginning. Yet one thing was certain: the conflict between Libby, Terry, Cedric, and Natasha was far from over.
