Sharra is sitting on the couch in her living room, quietly scrolling through her phone. The room is calm.
Suddenly, her phone begins to ring.
CHARLOTTE CALLING
Sharra’s expression immediately changes. She looks surprised. She hesitates for a moment, wondering why Charlotte would suddenly be calling her.
Why is she calling me today? I wonder what this is about.
The phone continues ringing. Sharra finally answers.
Hello?
Hey, Sharra. How are you?
I’m good. I was just sitting here. What about you, Charlotte?
I’m good too. But I actually wanted to tell you something about Bethany.
Okay… what happened to Bethany?
2. The Shocking Revelation
Nothing happened to Bethany.
Charlotte pauses. Sharra waits for her to continue.
But I need to tell you something important. Your mom… the person who helped make your mom disappear…
Charlotte takes a breath.
It was Bethany. Bethany is the one who called the police. She helped get your mom taken away.
Sharra freezes. Her eyes widen with disbelief. For a moment, she doesn’t say anything. Then her expression turns angry.
Are you serious?
Yes. I’m serious.
Charlotte, are you telling me the truth?
Yes. Why would I lie to you about something like this?
3. Sharra Decides to Confront Bethany
Sharra gets up from the couch. She begins pacing around the room, trying to process what she has just heard.
So you’re telling me Bethany did this?
That’s what I’m telling you.
Sharra clenches her jaw.
Okay. Then you come over to Bethany’s house.
I’ll come too.
Okay. I’ll meet you there.
Sharra ends the call, grabs her things, and quickly walks out of the house.
4. Arrival at Bethany’s House
EXT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – DAY
Sharra arrives at Bethany’s house, still furious. She walks toward the front door and enters.
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – DAY
Bethany is sitting in the living room with Larry. The two are casually talking and have no idea what is about to happen.
The front door suddenly opens. Sharra walks in. Her face is filled with anger.
Stand up.
