Sharra Confronts Bethany

Sharra Confronts Bethany

A Heated Confrontation Turns Everything Upside Down
The Moment

Sharra Walks In On Bethany Calling The Police!

SCENE 1 — BETHANY’S LIVING ROOM

The house is unusually quiet.

Bethany sits on the sofa, holding her phone close to her ear. Her expression is serious as she speaks quietly.

She keeps glancing toward the front door.

Something is clearly bothering her.

BETHANY

“I’m telling you, she’s here. Sharra’s mom is here.”

Bethany lowers her voice.

BETHANY

“She escaped from jail, and I don’t think anybody knows exactly where she’s going next.”

A pause.

BETHANY

“Yes, I’m sure. She came back around here.”

Bethany looks down at the floor, nervous.

BETHANY

“You need to let the police know. If she comes here, somebody could get hurt.”

She doesn’t realize that someone is already standing outside.

The front door opens.

Sharra walks inside.

Her expression changes the moment she hears Bethany talking.

She stops.

Her eyes lock on Bethany.

Bethany slowly turns her head.

Their eyes meet.

Silence fills the room.

SCENE 2 — THE CONFRONTATION

Sharra takes a few steps forward.

She has clearly heard enough.

SHARRA

“What did you just say?”

Bethany immediately lowers the phone.

BETHANY

“Sharra, wait—”

SHARRA

“You were calling the police?”

Bethany stands up from the sofa.

BETHANY

“I was trying to protect everybody.”

SHARRA

“You had no right to do that!”

BETHANY

“Your mom escaped from jail, Sharra! What was I supposed to do?”

Sharra stares at her.

For a moment, neither woman says anything.

Then Sharra remembers why she came in the first place.

SHARRA

“And you called Brooke a snitch?”

BETHANY

“What?”

SHARRA

“You heard me.”

Sharra steps closer.

SHARRA

“You called Brooke a snitch, and now you’re calling the police about my mother?”

BETHANY

“I never meant for things to get this crazy.”

SHARRA

“But they did!”

Bethany takes a step backward.

SCENE 3 — EVERYTHING BOILS OVER

The argument suddenly becomes heated.

Sharra loses her patience and shoves Bethany away from her.

Bethany stumbles and falls to the floor.

Her phone slips from her hand and lands nearby.

BETHANY

“Sharra, stop!”

Sharra moves toward her, still furious.

SHARRA

“You keep getting involved in things that don’t concern you!”

BETHANY

“I was trying to help!”

INTENSE MUSIC BEGINS TO BUILD…

Suddenly, a bedroom door opens.

Larry rushes out.

LARRY

“Sharra! What are you doing?”

Larry sees Bethany on the floor.

His expression changes immediately.

He moves quickly toward Sharra.

LARRY

“Back up! Right now!”

SHARRA

“Stay out of this, Larry!”

LARRY

“No! This has gone too far!”

Larry pulls Sharra away from Bethany and keeps himself between them.

SCENE 4 — LARRY TRIES TO STOP THE FIGHT

THE TENSION REACHES A BOILING POINT…
LARRY

“Everybody calm down!”

SHARRA

“She called the police on my mother!”

LARRY

“Because your mother escaped from jail!”

SHARRA

“So you’re taking her side now?”

Larry shakes his head.

LARRY

“This isn’t about taking sides.”

LARRY

“This is about making sure nobody does something they’ll regret.”

Bethany slowly gets back on her feet.

BETHANY

“I didn’t want this to happen.”

Sharra looks directly at her.

SHARRA

“You should’ve stayed out of my family.”

SCENE 5 — THE TRUTH COMES OUT

Bethany looks at Larry.

Then she looks back at Sharra.

BETHANY

“I called because I was scared.”

Sharra doesn’t respond.

BETHANY

“I knew your mother was missing. Then I found out she escaped. I didn’t know what she was capable of.”

Sharra’s expression softens for a moment.

SHARRA

“You could’ve called me.”

Bethany pauses.

BETHANY

“Would you have listened?”

Sharra has no immediate answer.

LARRY

“She’s got a point.”

SHARRA

“Don’t.”

LARRY

“Sharra, I understand you’re angry. But attacking Bethany isn’t going to bring your mother back.”

Sharra looks down.

Her breathing slows. The anger is still there, but she’s finally listening.

SCENE 6 — A TENSE SILENCE

Bethany stands near the sofa.

Her phone remains in her hand.

SHARRA

“You don’t understand what my family is going through.”

BETHANY

“Maybe I don’t.”

BETHANY

“But I know what it’s like to be afraid of losing someone.”

Sharra looks away.

Larry steps between them again.

LARRY

“This ends now.”

Nobody speaks.

The intense music slowly fades.

Bethany looks toward the front door.

Sharra looks at the phone in Bethany’s hand.

Then her eyes move back to Larry.

Something has changed.

SCENE 7 — THE CLIFFHANGER

Larry picks up Bethany’s phone from her hand.

LARRY

“Did the police get the information?”

Bethany nods.

BETHANY

“Yes.”

Sharra immediately looks up.

SHARRA

“What exactly did you tell them?”

Bethany hesitates.

BETHANY

“Everything I knew.”

SHARRA

“Everything?”

Bethany doesn’t answer.

Larry notices the silence.

LARRY

“Bethany?”

Bethany looks toward Sharra.
