WAYNE DEFENDS D’NISHA — A BETRAYAL COMES TO LIGHT
SCENE 1 — PODCAST STUDIO — AFTERNOON
The podcast studio is unusually tense.
The girls are gathered around the set, talking over one another. D’Nisha stands nearby, trying to keep her composure.
A few comments are exchanged.
The tone becomes disrespectful.
D’Nisha looks around the room, realizing that the situation is no longer just a disagreement.
She takes a slow breath.
Before she can respond, Wayne notices what is happening.
He stops what he is doing and looks toward the girls.
His expression changes.
“Hold on. What’s going on here?”
The room suddenly becomes quiet.
Nobody answers immediately.
Wayne looks from one girl to another.
He can clearly see that D’Nisha is being treated unfairly.
“All of y’all need to thank D’Nisha.”
The girls exchange confused looks.
D’Nisha looks at Wayne, surprised that he has stepped in.
“The only reason I kept y’all girls on this podcast is because of her.”
The room goes silent.
Wayne continues, making sure every word is understood.
“If it wasn’t for D’Nisha, I would have kicked y’all out a long time ago.”
The girls look at each other.
Some seem uncomfortable.
Others lower their eyes.
D’Nisha remains quiet.
She doesn’t appear to want Wayne to defend her, but she also knows that what he is saying is true.
“She has been putting in work. She has been supporting this whole thing. She has been trying to help y’all.”
“So instead of disrespecting her, y’all should appreciate her.”
The girls don’t know what to say.
D’Nisha looks down for a moment.
She has heard Wayne defend her, but the situation still hurts.
SCENE 2 — PODCAST STUDIO — MOMENTS LATER
The tension remains.
The girls slowly return to their seats.
Wayne walks away, giving everyone a moment to think.
D’Nisha stays standing near the side of the room.
Shayla watches her from across the studio.
She can see the disappointment on D’Nisha’s face.
Shayla takes a deep breath.
After a few seconds, she walks over.
“D’Nisha…”
D’Nisha looks up.
Shayla hesitates.
“I’m sorry.”
D’Nisha doesn’t immediately respond.
Shayla continues.
“We’ve been through a lot together. We’ve shared so many years and so many experiences.”
D’Nisha listens quietly.
Shayla’s voice becomes softer.
“I know things haven’t been perfect between us, but I never wanted things to get this bad.”
D’Nisha looks away.
She is trying to hold back her emotions.
“It’s not just about what happened today.”
“It’s about everything that led up to this.”
There is a long pause.
The other girls quietly watch from a distance.
SCENE 3 — D’NISHA FINALLY SPEAKS HER TRUTH
D’Nisha takes a breath.
For a moment, she looks around the room at the girls she once considered close to her.
Her expression is hurt, but she remains calm.
“I always wanted the best for all of you.”
“I genuinely cared about you girls. I wanted to see every single one of you succeed.”
“I wanted us to build something together.”
“I supported you. I defended you. I stood beside you when things weren’t easy.”
“But somehow, I became the person everyone wanted to blame.”
“That’s the part I don’t understand.”
“I wasn’t trying to take anything away from anybody. I was trying to help.”
“But you all turned around and betrayed me.”
“I never expected you to treat me like this.”
Shayla looks at her with regret.
“I understand why you’re hurt.”
D’Nisha nods slowly.
“I just wish you understood that I wasn’t your enemy.”
A quiet moment follows.
SCENE 4 — WAYNE RETURNS
Wayne walks back into the studio.
He immediately notices the atmosphere has changed.
The girls are quiet.
Shayla is standing beside D’Nisha.
Wayne looks at both of them.
“Everybody good?”
“Look, disagreements happen. People aren’t always going to see things the same way.”
“But respect still matters.”
“You don’t have to agree with somebody to appreciate what they’ve done for you.”
“D’Nisha has been here putting in work. She has helped y’all. She has been loyal to this podcast.”
“So don’t forget that.”
The girls slowly nod.
SCENE 5 — SHAYLA’S APOLOGY
Shayla turns back toward D’Nisha.
“I really am sorry.”
D’Nisha looks at her.
This time, her expression softens slightly.
“I appreciate you saying that.”
“We’ve been through too much to let everything fall apart like this.”
“I don’t want everything we’ve been through to mean nothing.”
“But trust isn’t something you can just turn back on overnight.”
“I know.”
The two women stand quietly for a moment.
There is still tension, but the conversation has finally opened the door to healing.
SCENE 6 — THE GIRLS REFLECT
The other girls remain seated.
They seem to realize that the situation was much deeper than they thought.
One of them looks toward D’Nisha.
“We probably should have handled things differently.”
“That’s all I wanted.”
“I never wanted an argument. I wanted us to communicate.”
“I still want to see y’all win.”
The girls look at her.
“Even after everything, I still want the best for you.”
“And I want the best for you too.”
D’Nisha gives her a small smile.
The tension in the room finally begins to fade.
SCENE 7 — A NEW UNDERSTANDING
Wayne looks around at everyone.
“Now that’s what I’m talking about.”
“Alright. We got work to do.”
The girls laugh softly.
The heavy atmosphere starts to lift.
D’Nisha looks around the studio one more time.
She knows everything isn’t magically fixed.
But at least the truth has finally been spoken.
Wayne steps back toward the podcast table.
The girls begin getting ready again.
Shayla stays beside D’Nisha for a moment.
“We’re going to be okay?”
D’Nisha looks at her.
After a brief pause, she nods.
“We can be… if we start respecting each other again.”
“Deal.”
Wayne looks toward them and shakes his head with a small smile.
The cameras begin rolling again.
The lights come on.
The podcast continues.
D’NISHA WAS NEVER THE ENEMY.
She was simply someone who wanted the people around her to succeed — and finally had the courage to say how much their betrayal hurt her.
