BETHANY KICKS BROOKE OUT — “GO TO SHARRA! I DON’T WANT YOU ANYMORE!” 😱💔
FADE IN: THE CONFRONTATION
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – EVENING
The house is quiet, but the tension in the room is impossible to ignore.
BETHANY stands near the couch with her arms folded across her chest. Her face is tight with frustration, and her eyes burn with anger.
BROOKE stands a few feet away, holding her phone and looking confused by Bethany’s sudden change in attitude.
For days, their arguments have been growing worse. Tonight, Bethany has finally reached her breaking point.
Bethany, why are you looking at me like that? What did I do now?
You seriously want to stand there and ask me that question?
Yes, because I don’t understand why you’re acting like I’m your enemy!
My enemy? Brooke, you have been bringing nothing but stress into my life. I’m tired of the arguments, the attitude, and the constant drama.
I’m not the only person causing problems in this house!
There you go again! You never want to take responsibility for anything!
Brooke puts her phone down on the couch.
I’m trying to talk to you, but you don’t even want to listen.
Because I’m tired of listening to the same excuses over and over again!
Bethany steps closer, her voice becoming louder.
I’ve given you enough chances, Brooke. I’ve tried to be patient with you, but you keep pushing me until I can’t take it anymore.
So what are you saying? You want me to leave?
Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying.
A heavy silence fills the room. Brooke had expected another argument, but she never thought Bethany would actually tell her to leave.
You can’t be serious.
I’ve never been more serious in my life.
THE FINAL WARNING
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS
Bethany, where am I supposed to go? You can’t just throw me out because you’re angry!
I’m not throwing you out because I’m angry. I’m telling you to leave because I’m done with this situation!
And what about everything we’ve been through? Does none of that mean anything to you?
Bethany looks away for a moment. Beneath her anger, there is exhaustion. She has spent too much time feeling as though her own home has become a battlefield.
What we’ve been through doesn’t give you permission to keep bringing chaos into my life.
I’m not trying to bring chaos into your life!
Then why does everything become a problem whenever you’re around?
You make it sound like I’m some terrible person.
I’m telling you how your behavior is affecting me. If you don’t want to hear it, that’s your problem.
You know what? Maybe Sharra was right about you.
Don’t you dare bring Sharra into this conversation!
Why not? You’re the one acting like you can control everybody!
I am not trying to control you! I’m telling you that I don’t want you living here anymore!
So that’s it? You’re just going to abandon me when things get difficult?
Abandon you? Brooke, you’re grown. You can make your own decisions. I’m not responsible for fixing every problem in your life.
I never asked you to fix everything!
Then stop expecting me to tolerate everything!
Bethany points toward the hallway leading to the front door.
Pack your things and go.
BROOKE IS ORDERED TO LEAVE
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – HALLWAY – MOMENTS LATER
Brooke stands motionless. She looks toward the front door, then back at Bethany.
Where do you expect me to go at this hour?
You have somewhere to go. And if you don’t, you can figure it out.
Wow. I honestly can’t believe you’re doing this to me.
Believe it, because I’m not changing my mind.
Brooke grabs her phone from the couch and slips it into her pocket.
Fine. If you want me gone so badly, I’ll leave.
Brooke starts toward the hallway, but suddenly stops and turns around.
But don’t come looking for me when you realize you’ve made a mistake.
Trust me, Brooke. I’m not going to chase you.
We’ll see about that.
No, we won’t. Because I’m done!
Her voice echoes through the hallway. Brooke flinches slightly, surprised by the intensity of Bethany’s words.
Brooke turns and walks toward the bedroom to collect her belongings. Bethany watches her go, breathing heavily.
(under her breath) I’ve had enough. Absolutely enough.
BROOKE CALLS SHARRA
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – BEDROOM – NIGHT
Brooke enters the bedroom and shuts the door behind her. Tears roll down her cheeks as the argument keeps replaying in her mind.
She opens a closet, pulls out a travel bag, and begins packing her clothes. Her phone lights up, and she decides to call Sharra.
Hello? Brooke? What’s going on?
Sharra, I need somewhere to stay.
What happened?
Bethany just told me to get out of her house. She said she doesn’t want me there anymore.
Wait. She actually kicked you out?
Yes! She told me to pack my things and leave. She doesn’t care where I go or what happens to me.
Brooke, calm down. Take a breath.
I can’t calm down! She was standing there looking at me like I meant absolutely nothing to her!
You can come here for tonight. We’ll talk when you get here.
Thank you. I didn’t know who else to call.
Just get your things together and let me know when you’re on your way.
I will.
The call ends. Brooke resumes packing, still feeling humiliated. She never imagined she would be leaving Bethany’s house under these circumstances.
“GO TO SHARRA!”
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – LATER
Bethany sits on the couch, staring at the television without really watching it. Brooke emerges from the hallway carrying her bag.
I’m leaving now.
Okay.
Brooke waits, hoping Bethany might say something else. Instead, Bethany looks away.
That’s all you have to say?
What else do you want me to say?
I don’t know. Maybe you could at least act like you care!
Brooke, don’t start another argument. You wanted to leave, and now you’re leaving. Let’s just end this here.
I didn’t want any of this to happen!
Neither did I, but I’m not going to keep pretending everything is fine when it isn’t!
You know what hurts the most? You don’t even seem sorry.
I’m sorry things turned out this way, but I’m not sorry for protecting my peace.
Protecting your peace? By putting me out on the street?
I told you to leave this house. I didn’t tell you that you had nowhere else to go.
You know exactly what you did!
Bethany points toward the front door again.
Brooke, go to Sharra. Since you seem to think she understands you better than I do, go and stay with her!
Brooke’s eyes widen.
Go to Sharra’s house! I’m not keeping you here anymore. I don’t want you living with me, and I don’t want to keep going through this drama!
Fine. I’ll go to Sharra. But remember this moment, Bethany. Remember how you treated me when I needed you.
I hope you’re happy with your decision.
I hope we can both finally have some peace.
Brooke walks out. The door closes behind her.
BROOKE LEAVES IN TEARS
EXT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – NIGHT
Brooke stands on the porch with her bag beside her. She looks back at the closed door, fighting the urge to knock.
She pulls out her phone and arranges a ride to Sharra’s house. A few minutes later, a car pulls up.
Brooke puts her bag in the back seat and climbs inside. As the vehicle drives away, she looks through the window at Bethany’s house until it disappears from view.
(softly) I never thought it would end like this.
She turns toward the window and says nothing more.
BETHANY FACES THE SILENCE
INT. BETHANY’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – SAME TIME
Bethany remains standing near the front door. The house is silent now. No raised voices. No arguments. No footsteps moving back and forth.
She slowly walks toward the couch and sits down. For the first time that evening, her anger begins to fade.
She looks at the empty space where Brooke had been standing. A flicker of regret crosses her face, but she quickly shakes her head.
I can’t keep doing this to myself.
She leans back and closes her eyes. She wants to believe that sending Brooke away was the right decision and that the silence will bring her peace.
Her phone buzzes on the coffee table. She sees a notification from a family group chat and realizes that the argument may not remain private for long.
Bethany places the phone facedown.
I’m not explaining myself to anybody tonight.
She switches off the television and walks toward the hallway. For a moment, she pauses and looks back at the empty living room. Then she turns away.
The decision has been made.
BROOKE ARRIVES AT SHARRA’S HOUSE
INT. SHARRA’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – LATE NIGHT
A knock sounds at the front door. Sharra opens it and finds Brooke standing outside with her travel bag.
Come inside.
Brooke walks in and puts her bag near the couch. Sharra closes the door and studies her expression.
You look like you’ve been crying.
Because I have.
Sit down and tell me what happened.
Brooke sits on the couch, and Sharra takes the seat beside her. After several seconds, Brooke finally speaks.
She told me she doesn’t want me anymore. She said I’m bringing too much drama into her life, and she wants me gone.
And she told you to come here?
Yes. She practically threw me out and told me to go to you.
I knew things between you two were getting bad, but I didn’t think it would come to this.
I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do now.
For tonight, you’re going to rest. Tomorrow, we’ll figure out your next move.
I just don’t want to feel like I’m a burden to everybody.
You’re not a burden for needing help, Brooke.
Brooke finally allows herself to cry. Sharra pulls her into a comforting hug.
