The atmosphere is cheerful as Yaya brings Dave to meet her friends. Everyone greets him warmly. However, the moment Dave sees one particular woman, his expression changes. She is his former girlfriend.

YAYA

Dave, I want you to meet my friends. We’ve known each other for a long time, and they’re really important to me.

DAVE

It’s nice to meet you all.

Dave keeps looking at his ex-girlfriend, trying to hide his shock.

YAYA’S FRIEND

It’s been a long time, Dave.

DAVE

Yeah. It really has.

YAYA

Wait, you two know each other?

DAVE

We met a long time ago. It’s nothing important.

Yaya accepts his explanation, unaware of their history. Dave realizes that his past has unexpectedly returned to his life.

SCENE 2: THE CELEBRATION PARTY — THE NEXT DAY

The following day, Wayne’s house is filled with music, laughter, and excited guests. Amber arrives with Dave, happy to spend the day with him.

AMBER

This place looks amazing! Wayne really knows how to throw a party.

DAVE

Yeah. It looks great.

Dave notices his ex-girlfriend standing across the room. Their eyes meet, and old feelings begin to resurface.

AMBER

Dave? Are you listening to me?

DAVE

Of course. Sorry, I just need to take care of something.

AMBER

What kind of something?

DAVE

Nothing serious. I’ll be right back.

Dave leaves Amber and walks down a quiet hallway. He finds his former girlfriend and asks her to speak with him privately.

DAVE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND

I was wondering when you would come to talk to me.

DAVE

Can we talk somewhere private?

She nods. Together, they quietly enter an empty bedroom, leaving the celebration behind.

SCENE 3: A REGRETTED PAST — INSIDE THE BEDROOM

The room is quiet. Dave stands near the window while his ex-girlfriend faces him. Years of memories and unresolved emotions hang between them.

DAVE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND

I never expected to see you again, especially not like this.

DAVE

Neither did I.

DAVE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND

Then why did you bring me here?

DAVE

Because seeing you yesterday made me realize something I’ve been trying to ignore.

DAVE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND

And what’s that?

Dave steps closer, his eyes filled with regret.

DAVE

I made a terrible mistake when I left you.

DAVE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND

You’re saying that now? After everything that happened between us?

DAVE

I know I hurt you. I’ve regretted leaving you more than you can imagine. I should have fought for us instead of walking away.

DAVE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND

Do you really mean that, Dave?

DAVE

Yes. I wish I could go back and change everything. I should never have left you.

He takes her hand. She hesitates before allowing him to hold it. Overwhelmed by their unresolved feelings, they move closer and begin kissing, forgetting about the party outside.

Neither realizes that someone is about to discover their secret.

SCENE 4: AMBER SEARCHES FOR DAVE — MOMENTS LATER

Back in the living room, Amber waits for Dave to return. Several minutes pass, but he never comes back.

AMBER

Where did he go? He said he would be right back.

She checks the kitchen and then walks toward the staircase. Finally, she notices a quiet hallway and begins checking the rooms.

AMBER

Dave? Are you here?

There is no answer. As she approaches a closed bedroom door, she hears faint voices coming from inside. She recognizes Dave’s voice.

AMBER

Dave?

She waits, but nobody answers. Confused, Amber reaches for the doorknob. She still believes there must be a simple explanation.

Taking a deep breath, she slowly opens the door.

SCENE 5: THE SHOCKING DISCOVERY — INSIDE THE BEDROOM

Amber steps inside and suddenly freezes. Dave and Yaya’s friend are standing close together after kissing. Their secret encounter has been interrupted.

DAVE

Amber!

Dave’s face turns pale. His ex-girlfriend quickly steps away from him. Amber stares at them, unable to believe what she is seeing.

AMBER

Dave… what is this?

DAVE

Amber, please. Let me explain.

AMBER

Explain what? I came looking for you because I thought something had happened!

Amber turns toward the other woman. She recognizes her as Yaya’s friend, but she has no idea that this woman is Dave’s former girlfriend.

AMBER

I trusted you both. How could you do this to me?

DAVE

Amber, please listen to me. It’s not what you think.

AMBER

Not what I think? I opened the door and saw you kissing another woman! What else am I supposed to think?

Dave reaches toward her, but Amber steps backward.

AMBER

Don’t touch me!

The words echo through the room. Amber’s eyes fill with tears, and her knees begin to weaken.

DAVE

Amber, please. Just give me a chance to explain.

AMBER

You already had your chance, Dave. I gave you my trust, and you destroyed it.

Overwhelmed by the painful discovery, Amber collapses to the floor.

SCENE 6: AMBER’S HEARTBREAK — THE FINAL MOMENT

Amber sits on the floor, crying uncontrollably. Dave rushes toward her, his face filled with panic and regret.

DAVE

Amber! Please, look at me!

He kneels beside her, but she turns away, unable to bear looking at him.

AMBER

Why would you do this to me? Wasn’t I enough for you?

DAVE

I never wanted you to find out like this.

The moment he says those words, Dave realizes how terrible they sound. Amber slowly lifts her tearful face toward him.

AMBER

So you knew it was wrong. You just didn’t think I would find out.

Dave lowers his head, unable to defend himself. His ex-girlfriend stands silently nearby.

AMBER

I loved you, Dave. I believed in you.

Her voice breaks as she remembers how she arrived at the party believing that everything between them was fine.

AMBER

And while I was outside looking for you, you were here with her.

Amber covers her face and breaks down again. Dave tries to comfort her, but she refuses to let him come closer.

AMBER

Just leave me alone!

Dave stops. He finally understands that his actions may have destroyed the relationship he once claimed to value.

The music from the celebration continues in the distance, painfully cheerful compared with the devastation inside the bedroom.

Amber remains on the floor, crying as the truth settles over her. Dave stands nearby, consumed by regret, while his former girlfriend remains silent.

The secret is no longer a secret. And Amber will never look at Dave the same way again.
